From what I have read from the site, it is very limited hosting for the cheap fee. The $14.95 get you 250Mb of storage and I thought t was limited in other ways like bandwidth, but when i tried to go to the site to get more info....it is not to be found - not a very good sign. They even have paid ads and those links show a "server not found" error too. There are other higher levels you can get from what I remember, so it will depend on what you are needing.

The site not working right now means ??? If it is their whole thing down - everyone who uses them is also down which means their business is out of business. The main site being down for any web host is NEVER a good sign.

I signed up with them a while back just because the price was so low and it was a curiosity to me at the time. I have yet to use them though so I don't have any information to share. I'm working with another, larger Hosting Service right now but may try a Squeeze Page to see what happens.  I'll let you know how it goes!

Hello Steve, have you had a chance to try lifetime hosting? I am trying to find a reasonable & reliable host, just to build one simple site. Any recommendations would be a great help. Have used go daddy, just to expensive and always trying to sell me something. Just looking to build a website & blog,

Thanks for any help

I purchased a hosting package there. I have a squeeze page and others there. It did have a problem once but solved fairly quick. I went with the largest package they had as I got a really good deal with a coupon. I have also sold several of their hosting packages and haven't had any refunds. I have had problems in the past with pay once hosting sites so I was kind of unsure making the purchase. So far all's good. I think the free domain name is a sub domain and you will be on their mailing list. Like Steve above I have another host and haven't really used them except for a few pages but lets say I would cautiously recommend them. Pay once hosting is pretty risky unless the mailing list is paying off for them big time. You are right though about most hosting being expensive. Makes no sense to cost so much so maybe for a simple site it just might be the ticket.

Thanks for your reply Len.

It can be hard to find reliable hosts when their customer testimonials are links to dead sites. Fat Cow was suggested to me but when I clicked on their customer testimonials they were to dead sites and that justs stops my interests in learning more about them.

Thanks again for your input.

I am a web host and offer great hosting and cpanel hosting as well. This is the second time I saw this so I decided to read the terms of service. These accounts are good if you are not really planning on publishing much content. When I read the terms and saw how the customer was responsible for keeping up with his/her bandwidth, and that's just the beginning. I doubt 75 % of markerlters who have websites understand how all this works. They just know it works. The sites are on shared servers and that is a problem just waiting to happen if ones business grows. Then the customer cannot use over 2% of the bandwidth in a 30 second interval or their account might be closed. The customer is responsible for all content and how it works. These will be major problems for some but if a person is looking for a limited site? This is a jewel.

My hosting is good. I give a domain with each cpanel and the yearly cost of my cpanels make my customers smile.

Wasn't writing this to try to drum up business just checking out the site because many of my custermers ask me to research for them and I do.

But if anyone is looking for good hosting just shoot me a email and I will send you a link.

But please, share with others to really read the terms and service. As long as they understand they will be ok.

I agree with the comment above. I have had problems in the past with such hosting companies that promise lifetime hosting, but don't really want you to make money. I learned a long time ago, not to invest in this kind of hosting, but rather use more established hosting companies. The reason? Better support when issues come up and they send you notices when you are running near the limit on your bandwidth. Just some thoughts.

i for one with a web hosting business of my own, says that it's not good web hosting business because there's a bit of uncertainty in your offer. like the word "lifetime" brings out a question mark for me. in one marketplace im in btw, it's no longer allowed for you to mention a product describing it as "lifetime" and i quote here"

Lifetime Products

As of November 22, 2017, JVZoo will no longer allow lifetime products.  Use of the word “lifetime” in sales copy can be a source of confusion for consumers. The lack of clarity surrounding the definition or application of whose “life” measures the coverage of warranty/guarantee can make it difficult to determine the intentions of the seller, frequently resulting in customers who are confused, frustrated, and unsatisfied.

In an effort to resolve this issue for consumers of the JVZoo marketplace, we will no longer allow products to use “lifetime” on sales pages. We strongly recommend that sellers choosing to include “lifetime” promises in their swipes or promotional emails clarify this term to the consumer in accordance with guidelines provided by the FTC (www.ftc.gov).

If your product was listed on our site and included “lifetime” access, warranties, guarantees, or promises prior to November 22, 2017, we recommend that you review your sales page and remove these promises.  We will be flagging products with “lifetime” as they are reviewed with spot checks.  If your product is flagged, you will need to remove the lifetime warranty, guarantee or access.

The only exception that will be made is that we will allow pre-existing branded products that include lifetime as part of their name that were listed on the platform prior to November 22, 2017.  If you would like to request approval for new branded products that include lifetime as part of the name, please contact our support team with a special request for review.  No other exceptions will be made.

To reiterate what we have just stated, please note: Our compliance team, in an effort to improve customer communication and satisfaction, will no longer approve sales pages including “lifetime” access, warranties, guarantees, or promises.

no one can know how much time will he live on this earth, thus, the word "lifetime" can't be measured, we can't do that, since we want something that can be measured everyday in our business. that's why in my webhosting business i could say annual payment and what you get? a yearly account, that is measurable.
