  1. How did the live event go Garrett? just wondering if you found it useful or not.
  2. Probably Global Domains International (GDI) and E-Lottery (VWD) I used to enjoy building both of those online but I found GDI too much hard work for little return and VWD collapsed.
  3. Nice idea Would you be willing to share any sites that fall into 1,2,3 please? I can only think of PTC sites. I'm sure there must be others! Thanks
  4. Anyone still use viraladsunleashed.com ? The signup form seems to have been removed from the homepage and I can't get hold of support.
  5. I don't send any mailings from my mobile but I do use it for clicking credits links. If I'm traveling I use that time for earning a few credits.
  6. Did you mean the best PTC for earning money or the best for traffic? http://planet-traffic.com/ is good for PTC traffic. I've used them several times. The owners sites have been running successfully for several years. donkeymails.com was launched in 2005 and has over 750,000 members
  7. I think people join paid safelists and just assume they'll get a better service because they paid for it. Or they are drawn in by the old sales point 'we only have paid members so you can be sure our members *want* to spend their money' However paid safelists still need members to read emails just the same as any other site to make them work. How do they achieve a good CTR?
  8. ViralAdStore is finally back up to speed! Sorry about that. It was one thing after another but it's running on a new dedicated server now. Thanks
  9. Yeah sorry! We're moving to a new server and hosting company this evening. What a nightmare the last few days have been. Everything was going smoothly and then our host decided to do a routine 'upgrade' and totally screw things up. They managed to recover everything after 2 days and they gave us a new server only for it to be a different spec. To cut a long story short we've cancelled the contract and are now on the move... Thanks for looking out!
  10. Thanks for the input John Yeah as a site owner you definitely have to find the right balance for payment options and also get right what the member is actually receiving for their money. market101 also made a good point though in that you can buy a 'lifetime' deal only for the site to disappear a few weeks later.
  11. I just ran CTR tests.... A mailing to 3000 random members at advertisefreeforlife.com returned 6 clicks. A mailing to 6076 members at traffic-eruption.com resulted in 0 clicks. I think we can scrub these. I guess Kenneth Kraakstad and Walter Bayliss have moved onto new ventures.
  12. I guess this is a question mostly for site owners...but what's your opinion on Lifetime Upgrades please? I see quite a few sites offer 'lifetime' deals and they are becoming increasingly popular. Personally though I can't see how they can work from a business perspective. I have quite a few loyal members that renew their yearly subscriptions and if they moved to a lifetime deal I would lose that income. I'm guessing a lifetime offer would sell more but it would have to convert at something like 1 in 4 to replace the income from the yearly / monthly model. I'm also thinking selling a lot of lifetime deals would hurt CTR and be bad for members. There would be a lot more mail sent through the site (from the amount of Gold upgraded accounts) and it would reduce the amount of ads that members click on. Unless of course members can keep up with it all. That's just my opinion though There must be a good reason why owners offer lifetime deal and it would be great to get some feedback! Actually it would be great to get some input from non site owners as well. I know some people prefer to pay for the smallest upgrade and run some tests before coming back with a bigger investment once the site has been proven to deliver. Thanks
  13. Does anyone still use mailers that are running the old Traffic Python script? I think the script was MyTrafficBusiness 2.0 Brett seemed to sell thousands of those and some of the sites grew really big. I still have advertisefreeforlife.com, traffic-eruption.com and viraltrafficoutbreak.com on my bookmarks list but it seems most sites running that script have been abandoned. I guess it had a few bugs and owners moved on.
  14. trafficswarm.com is probably the only site I visit every day. I've been using it for over 10 years and I'm still getting great results from this TE. They are Google Page 1 for "free website traffic" so have a steady stream of new members to promote to.
  15. these sites probably dropped off weeks ago but I was just tidying up my bookmarks list and I noticed yourluckylist.com and listbandit.com have gone offline. I might be wrong but I'm sure yourluckylist was one of the very first viral list builders (just after Gary launched thelistmachine) yep that's gone as well. Seems a shame as the membership sizes back then were huge! I think listbandit grew to 100,000 members if not double that. I definitely made some good commissions. I guess there wasn't really any competition back then. ok going off topic. Add Gary's sites yourluckylist, listbandit and thelistmachine to the scrapheap.
  16. Thanks for the replies! I don't see so many MLM's promoted these days but it looks like the 'Learn Internet Marketing' type models are still successful. That kind of makes sense I guess. I'm sure they're an easier sell than Himalayan Goji juice and healthy chocolate
  17. Besides the obvious (PayPal!) what else do people use please and can anyone recommend a payment processor? I just rely 100% on PayPal but I think it would be wise to expand. It would also be interesting to hear if many people use bitcoins. After all the hype things seem to have gone a little quiet, although I could be totally wrong with that assumption. Thanks!
  18. What are the top MLM programs currently promoted online? Can anyone help me out please? I used to make good money a few years ago from GDI and Virtual World Direct (e-lottery) but I haven't actively promoted an MLM for about 5 years now. I'm interested in looking at a couple of opportunities but I'm stuggling to find out what's current. I don't really see MLM's promoted on Traffic Exchanges and Safelists anymore (other than Traffic Wave) Thanks!
