Experience in MLM/Network Marketing

Recommended Posts

You may be new to MLM/Network Marketing or maybe you haven't even jumped in, and either way it's okay!

I've recently been getting serious in to an MLM company to help change lives and protect people from toxic chemicals used in every-day products. Getting in to this industry and market is not new to me. The difference now is having had the experience to know what is most important to me; not chasing money but focusing on value and quality.

When it comes to building a business in MLM it's important to realize people typically join you for YOU, not because the opportunity sounds good; People join people.

What are your experiences? Have you been in the industry before or have you held off?

Hustle. Do everything in your power to reach beyond your goals.

I was in the industry with some success. Now I'm in online marketing. I have a handicap and had to stop my MLM business.

Rudi, there is quite a bit of opportunity and flexibility with MLM with many relationships to online marketing.

I don't think there is any greater opportunity to spend the least amount of money and make the biggest name for yourself without lots of administration, technical and financial management.

Hustle. Do everything in your power to reach beyond your goals.

I have owned a retail seafood business for over 38 blissful years...yeah right...and I'm promoting/marketing for a couple network marketing companies in the health & wellness industry. I'm not sure how I happened on here, but I like what I see. I'm not familiar with safelist, solo ads etc., but curious how these might be marketing tools to accomplish three cool things...

  1. create good leads and recruit some good folks -  leaders/teachers/students...
  2. help them identify their individual goals and use the system for duplication, a successful outcome...
  3. and...of cource create some income to free my time to duplicate this over and over and over.....

I'm just looking for ideas and strategies to build a team of like-minded individuals.

Any ideas or advice is welcome!!

PS. I will succeed

I think there is a huge amoount of diversity in network marketing businesses. The business to choose should ideally be a good fit to your own interests and skills.

Some companies occupy evergreen niches which will always appeal to a certain segment of buyers. I'm thinking of companies like Life's Abundance in the pet food market for example. Dog and cat owners need to buy pet food anyway, so this company provides a way to get referrals and at a minimum aim to pay for your own pet's food. Breeders and other pet professionals like to add another income stream to their doggy daycare or pet grooming businesses.

Other companies are predicated on having a novel product combined with a compensation plan that is designed to reward team building and helps encourage new enrollees to upgrade - like Brain Abundance.

Each one has it's advantages and disadvantages. In all cases you need a way to network, connect then sift and sort people until you find those who fit the business and model you are promoting.

IMHO, Internet Marketing is more difficult than Network Marketing or MLM, the ONLY CONSOLATION is that you do not get objections right in the face unlike MLM which can be pretty demoralizing at times.

However, we cannot abstain from such a business model because it had proven to be successful so much so that even MNCs are emulating such a business practice.

Like it or not, it is ultimately your personal choice. As the cliche goes" One Man's Meat Is Another Man's Poison!"

I used to be in network marketing but now I blog and do online and affiliate marketing. I think it can be difficult to do network marketing because it takes time. It's definitely not a business to join if you need money right away. I think so many people make that mistake and end up failing. What I didn't like about network marketing was you have to be on autoship for a product. That can really add up especially if you are not bringing in people right away. Which, most people don't because it takes time to learn the business. Instead of making money many people end up in debt.

I know even with doing online marketing and affiliate marketing it takes time to but the difference with them is you don't have to be on an autoship for a product and you can take your time and learn and even if you aren't making any money you are not racking up debt because you don't have to purchase a monthly autoship.

I like network marketing but I think that if you want to do it you have to have some money and don't go into it if you need money now. Affiliate marketing is best for me right now.

Do you have any proof for this business? Though I got many losses from some investment sites, I am ready to involve in this business. But, some people said, ARM MLM is perfect in this business. You know who created MLM website by using this company? If it’s true, I will come there.

My wife and I have been in the MLM industry for most of our lives. Although we have been in and out from one MLM company or another, we have never lost the excitement we got when we first saw "The Plan". -- You get 3, help them get 3, and they help them get 3... and so on -- What it means is 'residual income'... even residual income for life. My current MLM business I started in 1993, and still get residual income when any team member buys the product or signs up another dist.

And the best part...

I don't have to be physically present (like trading time for wages) to get paid.

You must get yourself involved in a good prospecting system where seasoned leads are provided and you must

be willing to chat or telephone people thats just the way it is.  YOu will not grow a mlm or any other type of business

for that matter just rotating a link or even getting it in the search engines that I guarantee you.

Hi Matt,

I look for programs that I can leverage my time and efforts thru the help of others.

If I had a secret, it would be that the success that I have online is that I leverage my time and efforts thru others.

Is there a better way to leverage your time and efforts? I don't think so.

To my experience, MLM is a great opportunity. BUT (yes, with capitals!), since I'm somewhat experienced (having my third MLM business and started my first back in 2003), I'd like to mention that it's for everyone and... just not for everyone. That may sound controversial, but it's true.

MLM is a very specific kind of business. My husband is educated in Marketing. It's only since two years that he finally accepted that MLM in it's core, is a better way to make money than any kind of marketing for a "regular" business (some exceptions, of course. I mean, how can I ignore Amazon, Bol, Coca Cola, Apple and a couple of others... ;) ).

Most MLM systems are so easy to follow, that everyone should be able to do it. In reality, not everyone will, solely because of fear. The don't get it, they don't believe it, they don't know what they would do if they'd make the kind of money possible with MLM, and because the principle of MLM is so different from everything they've learned so far.

And from those who do take the step and participate in an MLM business, some of them will get stuck being a customer, some of them will quit because they can't handle the change of mind most people need to make, some of them will make a nice extra income by selling products and/or by building a downline. Only a handfull will be dedicated enough to learn and do what's necessary to be actually succesfull.

Even though the MLM business I'm participating in is extremely easy to understand and to work with, I see that people tend to underestimate the work and the mindset that is needed to get going in a MLM business. Only after building a solid base, you can relax, take a step back and watch the snowball growing while rolling down the hill. It totally depends on your character, your skills and your efforts how soon you've build your solid base.

What if the work and effort needed to run a business, can be implemented in your daily life so easily, that it's no longer hard to keep your commitment?

Check out what that business would look like!

I joined an MLM organization 25 years ago. Sponsored a few people - helped them sponsor a few .... AND ..... I am still getting paid every month for the effort I put into my MLM business.  That's real residual income.

MLM | Network Marketing vs Online Affilliate Marketing or Offline vs Online

Both have their pro' and con' and both require a good follow up method.

I personally bat online, because the offer I am promoting can be duplicated, replicated and scaled up which is important for building teams. We've all had those team members that require more of a hand holding approach which takes up our time and thats ok but it doesnt empower them, infact it makes them co-dependant rather than independant.

Which is another reason I like the program I am promoting because the sales funnel includes step by step video training on how to get set up correctly, including paid and free advertising sites that you can use to start sending leads back to your landing page.

Once the lead has gone through step 1,2&3 at step 4 they will see their leads come in and they see how those leads have followed the exact same steps as them 1,2&3 , step 4 is the built in email follow up which is about building their email list and is set up to identify and segment the buyers from those who need more time to take action

And the good thing about this system, we provide you with a share code which you are shown through the training how to plug in and duplicate the exact same system along with how to promote your primary business.

My point is every MLM & Online Affilliate Marketer needs a system that can be duplicated, replicated and scaled up on auto pilot especially if they want to grow big teams.

Wow OH WOW.

25 years from a few actions decades ago. What an inspiring story.

The trouble is, you basically hit the lottery with that result. That has to be in the .01%'s.

Probably 100x that really. So, the odds would be in the millions.

'Cuz if you think about it that is in line with getting royalty checks from a moderately successful song or book
