Hi Fellow MC Members and Guests,

Tommie Kirkland (Captkirk) here...

Have you used bribes to get people to join and/or upgrade to programs that you promote?

For me, I have never offered a bribe to get people to join or upgrade even though I have Millions of advertising credits that I can offer.

If you have offered bribes, do they work to get people to join and upgrade?

yes i use them on fafy like 200,000 credits, i consider them a welcome gift. to me if i can make them successful then im successful in that sense. now it's up to them, if they will become active or not, as for me ive done my part, it's time for them to do their part. though i don't leave them in the dark, i use my chatpanel tawk.to to train them, motivate and inspire them to be active.

I have accumulated 37,900,756 credits at FAFY and I have never offer a bribe but I have thought about it.:)

well we can't eliminate the idea of giving bribes or rewards, it's the human factor that are at play here even on easyhits4u,a manual traffic exchange with 1.5 million+ members i think they know what they're doing and rewarding and bribing people there is rampant. webmasterquest is also doing it, one of the pioneers of traffic exchanges. i only have 5 million credits at fafy, but the 200k credits i guess is a help boost for the referrals i made just to help them out, it's not a regular thing, i made it clear to them that it's one time and they'll get it once they attain to this and that..

Give me an example of how you would word a bribe for upgrading at FAFY?

well i make it a reward or a gift.

like i said yesterday,

ok if you become active here fulfilling all things that is required of you everyday, on top of what you received from fafy, i'll give you a reward of 200k credits in one month's time

, that's it.

i make sure my offer is clear,

(1) there's a time frame,

(2) there's a required activity to be done everyday,

(3) and the price of the reward.

if a person wants to be successul and maximize fafy i guess they'll bite it, if not then move on to the next interested referral.

it's one way of pre-qualifying them as to who is really interested or just signed up for the thrill of it.

i consider it as an investment, many days later, it will return to you, but it returns like a boomerang.

i consider it non-traditional marketing.

I could use a bribe in my FAFY Program Thread.

I'm still giving it some thoughts, I have seen others offering bribes to get people to join and upgrade.

it's a win-win situation. give them a bribe/gift/offer/reward that they can't resist, but it needs to be more on the upgrade IMHO

Thanks for the example.

yes, i guess you can afford with the huge fafy credits you got. it's the way to go for you

make sure to made it clear that you are offering them credits after they upgrade lol or else the credits you gave can be used to upgrade.

Yes, if I offered it, it would be for the upgrade options.

What do you think is a good bribe as for as Ad Credits?

login to fafy,

click on My Referral Stats on the left menu,

see Rewards earned in last 30 days

on the same row of the referrals you are prospecting to give  a reward.

I never really paid attention to the page other than who signed-up and upgraded. :)

paying attention to it is necessary if you are planning to integrate bribing to anyone who will upgrade on that column My Referral Stats, determine the highest value or digit there, and that value multiply by 5 or come up with your own multiplier then that could be challenging enough to push for upgrades.

Well, I prefer to call them incentives :) The word bribe has a negative feel to me. But sure, I promote our sites with a join bonus of credits and we encourage our members to promote that same incentive, so that the person joining will feel comfortable in knowing that when they join, they can give our sites a test for free and with no effort.

Hi Clare,

All site owners should offer incentives to get members to join and test the sites out for themselves.

I don't consider the incentives that owners offer their member as bribes.

I'm talking about non-owners offering bribes to get members to upgrade or to join other sites that they're promoting.

Oh, okay :-) Then to answer your question better, in the past, before owning sites, I used to promote sites owned by other people, and yes, I've offered to transfer extra credits if it's possible to do that for the site, and yes I believe it helped.

Thanks Clare, You have been helping me since we first met in the forum.

Sorry, not to upgrade Tommie, to join  :-)

I would like to use my ad credits to get them to upgrade.

As you can see, I'm in the thinking stage of what I want to do or how to use my advertising credits.

What do you think is a good incentive to get people to upgrade or Join other programs that you promote?

Well, as mentioned, I promote our sites now, I barely promote others, i have enough work to do on ours. In the past, it was just small extra bonuses to join, where it was allowed, and then in a moderate amount of 1000 credits or something. I'm not sure if giving extra credits to others will encourage them to upgrade, somehow I doubt it, but you could try.

With FAFY, I have 37,988,261 Ad Credits and it's growing daily.

You can see why I'm thinking about offering incentives to get members to upgrade.

BTW, I don't like the word bribe either, maybe that's why I stayed away from it.
