How many programs are you promoting?

I don't know if anyone wants to share, but I keep seeing systems where people are promised 10+ streams of income.  Maybe a veteran has a system and can keep track of it all.  I upgraded in a mailer, I signed up for a paid membership in one site and a paid monthly membership in another site - all over the weekend.  After getting things set-up to promote and trying to use the tools that come with the different sites, I'm wiped out.  Are 4 different programs too much?  What's too much? :D :D

For many years I was promoting 4-5 programs simultaneously. Then I came across WEBTALK and have been promoting that one ever since.

Know just what you mean about being wiped out after setting up all those mini programs. I did it once.....

Now I have several smaller affiliate offers that I promote on my blog, BUT whatever anyone tells you, the best way is to build a list and promote to the list.

It took me a long time to admit this, probably because I was finding it too hard and the traffic I was getting was rubbish. (Which I finally proved to myself using a tracker.)

Now I am promoting a program that helps you build a list from just one link. So you have:
1) List Building

2) Auto-responder

3) Traffic source

all in one program. It took me about a couple of hours to set up, but after that it's a matter of promoting the one link (actually there's a choice of links) to help you build a list and there's an income stream from the 3 elements.

There's also a neat twist where they buy-back people on your list you don't purchase anything.

So, I'm promoting ONE program to help me build my list, and then promoting smaller offers on my blog (before I knew better LOL) and to my list.

In short, concentrate on anything that helps you build a list - it's an asset every Internet Marketer needs. I wish I'd admitted it to myself earlier.

Good luck.

How many programs are you promoting?

My Master document goes back about 10 years, all programs  are logged into my excel book.

Always backup your data weekly to a seperate location in case your PC kick's the bucket.

A tab for each type of Promotion; banner, classifieds, safelists, PTC's, listbuilders, TextadExchanges, Payment Programs, Bitcoin Programs, Faucets, Promo Tools and Traffic Exchanges.

In Excel you are able to log everything on each site, date joined, cost, banned sites, Promo URL, banners, Texts Ads  and URL's or site promotions, admin name, rotator stat, footnotes and much more.

I keep track of all the Admins so you know who to stay away from after they have rolled out a site and collected then just disappear. Only to try and pull this again with another site and get away with everyone's cash scot-free.

After being burnt by several of these fake Admins... I now wait sometimes 2-3 months before upgrading.

You should not depend on the helpdesk to get your money back if stuff goes wrong, it's way to time consuming. Don't invest unless it's extra cash you can manage without.

To manage safelist you need a central point: Viral Mail Profits is the best, you can input all your mailers and messages and get a detailed report on your ctr.

To Manage Traffic Exchanges you should be using Traffic Brower. This extraordinary software is equipped with some POWERFUL FEATURES that makes your surfing experience smoother such as, Popup Blocker, power Surf Tab, Timer Tab and Volume Control, to name a few.

Currently over 800 websites with all the promotional data and cost per promo, credit balances, and everything relevant to each site.

I mostly promote 1 program at a time and keep plugging it until I have 100,000 unique views (then I evaluate the effectiveness)  that lasted over 10 seconds.  That being said I also use a top bar link ad cross promoting another offer. After 10 seconds I try to monetize with an ad widget containing other peoples offers.  I often use a 3 second teaser that helps me get the visitors attention while preload the actual ad page.

That is a big big question. I am not in any proposing that I have the answers. It is a question that is always in the back of my mind.

it to me is determined by what your policy is as a marketer and what services are actually delivered.

Looking back,I have not regretted the time spent surfing and searching for a better answer.

It is only after time that you can weed out those sites that give you value. Using trackers teaches you a lot. you get to grips with how

exchanges or whatever service you use are handing out the credits. I have been on the internet for over 8 years and i have close to ten books of registrations. I was going through my Rolodex the other day and was surprised to see how many companies had disappeared.

I joined for free, advertising to give impact to my advertising.  Every one is hooked on their own product.

I came here and learned a new strategy. give people free advertising and they end up helping you to promote your website.

Now with more sites in your arsenal and with a greater understanding of how to target your audience, you can decide your strategy.

The longer you are in the business and dependent on how observant you are, you should be very skilled in getting exposure to your website. That being the case you can scale your efforts.

In a sense, the question answers itself.

However, if you do not have the gimmicks the guru's use  It still leaves you with a lot of work to do to get the desired results. I have upgraded in several programs. It is a revelation to find out you are sometimes not better off than a free member.

This is a knawing question, that is like finding the needle in a haystack.

I find myself joining new brands because technology has increased and so if you do not keep an eye on that you won't get many worms.lol

The few I joined fill up my mailbox to the extent of having to spend time deleting many. Thus, wasting data that could have been used for surfing for credits and placing adverts. I have been spending so much on data yet with no single downline since about two months. I was doing it on social media before, had clicks but no registration. At worst, got blocked. Linkedln is yet to reactivate my account till date. Efforts made to have it reactivated for the past five months are abortive. I also tried to reopen another account but was to no avail.

Interesting replies to this thread and if it helps this is my experience. I currently use the Prosperity Marketing System, because within that, you can if you have the owner add on, add the affiliate ventures you are promoting, but promote them using the PMS Lead Capture Pages, or make your own within the system itself.

I do this because in the past, having used similar ventures, I have enjoyed great success doing so and certainly earned a lot of money in the process.

Perhaps the only membership script i would avoid is TMS, because, through the principle is good, the support and set up is not as easy as they suggest it is, having tried it myself and I am no slouch with scripts, but this was beyond my paygrade ; )

The other major reason I like PMS is because, its yours, for a small monthly fee which is recoverable with just one sign up

The owner add on, means that you can customise it for your style and that is also 100% commissionable

Having scripts like this, means that for the user coming on board, they don't have to worry about monthly subscriptions to multiple programmes and can focus on one

Looking at my Tracking Stats, all pages are doing well, with two doing rather better than the others slightly

Thats my experience and it has to be said, rather like Darren, I have enjoyed good success with earning from TE's and Safelists

I try to keep it simple: I have 1 program as my main promotion, 2 programs are currently secondary promotions and then I occasionally promote new traffic site launches and some marketing tools I use.

If I see that some new program or marketing tool I have promoted is converting well and I have made a sale, then I may add it to my secondary promotions.

Don't think in terms of the number of programs. Instead, treat list-building like it is your "program." It holds more power, and it will prove to be more valuable in the long run. Your very own (curated) audience is more sustainable (in terms of providing income) than promoting individual programs directly - or even a handful of them. It took me years to come to terms with this and discipline my focus to list building.

Picture persuading 250 strangers to take you up on an offer. Now, picture persuading 250 people that are familiar with your brand, channels, email address, name, etc.

SMH

I was stubborn.

Embrace being a professional list-builder - not affiliate marketer.

I simply promote MEinc and List Building done through two ways

1.PMS, which I think is awesome and the closest you can get to actually having a membership script of your own. Inside it I have a strategic funnel, which works well

2. My Blog, which is centered around list building

That is it

I have always had multiple programs,it's really not that hard to promote and keep track of if your organized. You can use simple rotators with traffic exchanges and i found that at least once a week i visit and log into each program and check out everything including messages and new referrals. It's really all got to do with how much time you have...Some programs are complicated and need to be worked alone...I try and stay with simple but powerful and well paying programs that do not require twisting someone's arm to join...most programs handle the sales for you,all you need to do is advertise the link and get the referral....Best Easy Work is a great example, they are awesome at closing the deal...Prosperity marketing System is another no brainer....Easy1up is simple yet very profitable...I'm sure everyone has a favorite and that's what makes this business great...find something you like and stick with it.

I'm a very happy member of Prosperity Marketing System & love that I can promote one link to earn multiple income streams.

I also promote what I call the "3 evergreen niches" which are tools, traffic & training sites. I try to build a larger audience every month to promote to & focus a lot on monthly recurring income coming in.
