What Kind of Blog Posts are the Most Organic in 2026?

Over the last few months, I've been working on the content for Brisbane Metal Recyclers, a local scrap metal recycling company in Australia, and we've been trying out various kinds of blog content to see how they work.

We've tried  blog posts, FAQ posts, customer stories as of yet. It takes a while for some posts to gain initial traffic, and some of these posts keep drawing traffic for years.

I also have observed that answering real customer queries which yields more useful content as compared to writing around keywords, but still testing it out.

I'm curious to know what everyone else is doing this year.

• What kind of blog posts is 2026 leading to the most organic traffic?
• Do long-form articles still work, or have shorter, more focused posts proven to be more successful?
• Have you had a recent change in content strategy and, if so, what's been the key factor?

I would love to hear what's working for other bloggers, content writers and business owners.

I’ve found that posts answering specific customer questions tend to work well. How-to guides, FAQs, case studies, and problem-solving content can bring traffic for a long time. I’d focus more on usefulness and search intent than on word count.

I agree with you. I've seen this happen in my own experience when creating content for Brisbane Metal Recyclers. When you have a specific question from a customer and answer it or solve a customer's actual problem, it will appear more useful than a post that is just about keywords or has a specific word count.

We've been experimenting with more of the FAQ and how-to material lately and have been curious as to which material continues to attract visitors over time.

I believe it is more crucial to focus on search intent and really assist the reader than just to make content longer.
