  1. Send me the link.
  2. When I hear things like the comments above, I get more than just a little cautious. When owners do the sort of thing mentioned in the comments above, they destroy their reputation and make it even harder to promote their product or service or opportunity the second time around. If they will not grandfather the upgrades into the new system, I would think long and hard about spending any more money on them.
  3. It seems to me that most PTC's are just scams. I will admit there are a few that are honest and legit. I have tried this form of advertising in the past and have had mixed results. My one problem is trying to get referrals that stayed active.
  4. The one thing about "free" traffic sources like TE's is that you can get lots of hits, but no sales. I think the reason here is that you are advertising to other sellers, not buyers. I consider TE's "useless" traffic only because the other members are sellers like we are. The other issue is that many people just surf to gain credits to promote their site and are not interested in other offers. I tend to think this may be true of safelists, mailers, etc.
  5. Folks, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is and usually is. I ran into a pay per click site called $2 clicks or something like that. They promised to pay $2 per click. But let's be real for a moment. Who's going to pay $2 for each click? Who can afford that kind of promotional cost? Especially when there are better and more cost effective ways to promote?
  6. Sorry for your loss. These scammers are getting slicker every day. Had someone try that on me, but found out I really didn't have the money to give him. He lost interest really fast. He was a real slick talker. He reminded me of a used car salesman.
  7. Does anyone have an update on this? I've seen this site advertised. Considered joining, but decided to wait.
  8. I'm looking for a user friendly video creation software to create promotional and how to videos. Can anyone suggest a good software? I also need to find any tutorials on how to create videos. I would appreciate any help.
  9. I tried this a few times. I didn't get the results I wanted. I spent alot of time posting in different cities. I also tried this on the old Yahoo Classifieds. The results there were not much different.
  10. The timing for your off line marketing can also have an influence on its effectiveness. If you are using phone calls, I would not recommend calling people when they are settling down to dinner or just getting home from work. I can tell you from experience that is very annoying.
  11. I tend to believe that it should be every three days or so. But the keys to getting a good return on your list building is to offer good quality content that they can use and to build trust (and a relationship) with your readers. If all you do is send them sales copy, then your list will not be as responsive. But, if you give them useful information that they can use right away, or if it has direct applications to their situation, they will be much more responsive.
  12. I agree with many of the statements above. Bulk email is usually spam and can get you in a whole lot of trouble. Even if they are deliverable, your results may not be what you want or need. It's a good way to get your site shut down by your host. As a final note, most of them are probably scams.
  13. If I am doing it myself, I prefer to use templates and website builders. I like to use the user friendly ones.
  14. I am also using Paypal. I noted in some of the comments above that some mentioned the "scandal" with Payza. I am a little confused here. I also heard about the money laundering with Payza. I was also of the impression that they were being investigated as a scam themselves. Can anyone share with me what has happened since then?
  15. It's odd that this came up. I got an email from empowr. I opened it, but never clicked the links or anything. I just ignored it and, so far, haven't heard anything else. Thanks.
  16. Hi, Although this is not my site, I use them frequently to generate new passwords. Check them out: https://lastpass.com/generatepassword.php
  17. I've tried both and noticed no real differences in either one.
  18. It almost sounds like your IP has been hijacked. I read a report on Mcafee about it. Although I am not sure how it happens or how to deal with it. You may want to check it out.
  19. I don't question the idea that free advertising does work, because it does. I only question its effectiveness vs. paid ads. It seems to me that certain types of free ads have a questionable ROI whereas paid ads seem to have a certain reliability to them. Would anyone disagree?
  20. One tip to identify a scam. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
  21. I think they are good ways to establish a relationship with your customers.
  22. I think he needs to learn some very hard facts about owning a TE before investing in one. I have noted that there has been a shift in the "no refunds" claim he made. Some TE's are now offering refunds, but with some limitations.Being a disabled vet should have no bearing on how one conducts business. It is sad that he chose to use it an an excuse.
  23. Your comment about the quotes and other non alpha numeric characters may be due to the script a particular site is using. I've seen it a few times. a script will see a particular character and delete everything after it or some other weird function. Most of the time these problems are corrected with updates, other times not.
  24. I tried worldprofit for awhile, they push you to upgrade and can be merciless about it. Dr. Lantz has a bad habit of being a jerk about it, he is often pushy and arrogant in his comments. I dropped them after awhile and never went back.
  25. I would be very careful about these. In my experience, these have been nothing more than shells that do nothing or send to spam lists.
