Using Blogs for Your Home Business
rpsmith replied to Rodney's topic in Content Writing and Blogging
I think blogs can be a useful tool for gaining interest in your business. But, you have to use it correctly. I think that is where most fail.- 22 replies

Do Blogs Really Advertise for You 24/7?
rpsmith replied to Paula Frye's topic in Content Writing and Blogging
Blogs can be useful and can make you money. The problem (like every other site) is getting readers to your blog. Many use them incorrectly by using them as sales copy displays. Bad idea. When bloggers try to talk to people vs. sell to them, it tends to work out better. -
I would like to add that it depends also on the social media you are involved in. From my research, I have learned that each social media network seems to have its own culture and protocol. In order to be effective in each one, you would have to learn their specific culture.

What are your results when using Herculist
rpsmith replied to Michael Harris's topic in Affiliate/MLM/Network Marketing
I think there might be something that is overlooked. Users tend to gravitate towards the higher credit messages and ignore the lower credit ones. They do this in order to build credits faster. Herculist is a credit based safelist. It is not a fair deal for the free members. Just a thought.- 47 replies

Sounds a little fishy to me. Of the few PTC's I have dealt with, they never had a set up like that. Some required a minimum level for withdrawal, but never a paid to withdraw.

What are your results when using Herculist
rpsmith replied to Michael Harris's topic in Affiliate/MLM/Network Marketing
My comment was based on the fact that, instead of being deleted out of hand, you actually get eyes on your ads and sites. Isn't that the whole purpose of promoting in the first place? Yes, it can be annoying, but I consider it a plus as you might not get those eyes otherwise.- 47 replies

The Importance of Reading Every Marketing Email You Get ?
rpsmith replied to internetmarketersconnect's topic in Commons
I would like to point out something that many of you seem to be overlooking. While I don't read EVERY email I get, I do read many. Especially in my niche market. Now, you might wonder why. Because I sometimes get ideas from reading someone else's sale copy that will help me craft my own or help me to improve my existing sales copy. -
What are your results when using Herculist
rpsmith replied to Michael Harris's topic in Affiliate/MLM/Network Marketing
I have had some very good experiences with Herculist and other safelists. I disagree with the comment that they are a "waste of time". I will admit that they are time consuming but not a waste of time. True, there have been some that were ripoffs, but not all. I can think of a few that were complete rip offs to their members.Yes, there is the risk of your ads being mass deleted. But, again, not all do this. One nice little trick I have seen is where the list now forces its members to view ads before sending out there own.- 47 replies

When I think of the name Skrill, it reminds me of an alien from the 80's Wonder Woman series.

I tend to agree with you on the issue of TE's. I have long questioned their value as sources of potential buyers. I have had better results from safelists. Though the use of them can be a time consuming issue in and of itself. I tend to veer towards content marketing, and trying to create mailing lists of my own. Mostly I use paid advertising sources now. My results from that has been much better. I tend to shop around.

Hi, I am just getting started in the bitcoin arena. Can anyone out there recommend legit bitcoin faucets, mining ops, and the like? I have seen a number of them out there, just want to avoid the scams. thanks, Ryan

BEWARE OF TITLES LIKE THIS: MESSAGE FROM BANK OF AMERICA
rpsmith replied to captkirk's topic in Scams, Rip-offs, and More
It is always a good idea to ignore these messages and delete them. Even if you DO have an account with the banking institution in question. NEVER go though the link they provide in the email. ALWAYS open a new browser window and log in directly. People who fall for this usually have their banks accounts cleaned out before they even know it happened. Never saw it happen personally, but I have heard enough horror stories about it be very very cautious. -
This question is in two parts: Is adsense allowed on social media sites? I have been to Google's site and can find no deifinitive answer on this. The second question is, if adsense is not an option, then who else is out there that is?

I tend to think colors are a good idea. Simple black and white makes it hard on the eyes when you look at this stuff for awhile. However, I also think that people need to learn what colors go together and which ones don't. I have seen some color ads that are hard to read or too much of an eye strain to try to read.

Let's talk about safelist sites!
rpsmith replied to paulserban's topic in Safelists, Mailers, Autoresponders
Your confirmation email may have found its way to the spam folder or never made it at all. I was with them for awhile, years ago. I didn't stay with them because they got very pushy about upgrading, including public shaming during their broadcasts. From what I have seen, they appear to be under new management. Are they a scam? Not really. Not in my opinion. I also must confess that I haven't dealt with them for a long time now. -
REbuilding your reputation will take some time to do. The most important thing is to deliver quality work at a reasonable price. Make it a point to let your customers know that you will work with them to meet their requirements. Another thing to do is to convey the idea that you are willing to work with them to deal with any issues that may come up. I do alot of shopping on fiverr and have had only a few issues with sellers. I try to work with them, until they prove they won't deliver.

This remnds me of a similar thread on this subject. I have known of a few sites that could not pay for a brief time. It may have been a family crisis or similar event. Others can't pay because they did not plan properly. Still others take the money and run. I have seen all three at one point in time or another. My best suggestion is to check out the reviews on the sites you may be considering joining. From my experience, many sites that have earned a bad reputation usually don't last. There are a few of the old school ptc's that are still around and still paying. If I were to join, it would be one of those.

Hi, Lately I have been looking at getting a bitcoin wallet and working with bitcoins. BUT, when I looked into it, I noted that there are a number of them out there. Which one should I use? I'm new to this and need some advice. Can anyone shed some light on this?
-
Agreed. I do pay others from time to time, but not always.
-
Actually, I have seen a few sites that operated this way. They offered low cost memberships. I don't know if any of them are still around as I haven't really kept up with it.

I have heard that Paypal has a bad habit of not responding to inquiries about frozen or limited accounts. I seem to remember this happening a few years ago, but don't remember all of the specifics.
