The solution is very easy. You simply need to upgrade yourself first and see if the upgrade is worth it. Then...You should document your results and create a report showing your results. When people see that you have upgraded and have seen good results from your upgrade, then they will be more likely to upgrade themselves.

There is a slight problem with your strategy. Instead of sending traffic to these kind of pages, you should build a list first. This will allow you to promote your offers to the same people over and over again, without working to do it. As long as they are your list, you can always contact them and if you offer them real content that can help them, then they will always read your emails.

If you are going to use a popup, then I recommend that you don't use the kind that are prompts. I personally never agree to view those popups when asked. Instead use an overlay popup that has an add to the site that you want people to visit. They work much better.

Banners are a good source of easy free traffic if you join banner exchanges and know how to earn a lot of credits without doing any extra work to get them. As for buying banner ads....I would not recommend that you buy impressions but instead pay for clicks on your banner.
