  1. Back to Basics, Quality Traffic! What has happened to the Traffic Exchanges? Are they still delivering traffic that actually give you sign ups and sales? Maybe, if you promote a surf for cash site but other than that.... Sad to say that the majority of TEs don't convert very well. Many TE owners offer a lot of money for surfing thus attracting surfers that only surf for cash. If I would live in a country where a dollar is still a lot of money, I would probably do the same but....... those are not the type of surfers I want on my TE. I really don't want surfers that surf 1000s of sites daily to earn a few cents. They burn credits from other members that get very little or nothing in return as for sign up/sales for their hard earned credits. I would rather have 5 members surfing 50 sites every day than 1 surfing 1000. Don't get me wrong, I am not against surf parties and small cash rewards to keep it fun but... in general I am more in favor of rewards in traffic. Traffic to promote opportunities and services that make you more than a few cents. So I decided to do things a bit different. The Ventrino Script allows to show member ads outside the exchange and that is exactly what I do now. I am showing member ads, both text ads and banner ads on this page. To have your ads shown all you need to do is ad your banners and text ads and be an active member. Active means you have to surf once a month (as a free member). On this page we show text ads and banners in size 160x600, 468x60 and 125x125. With a few exceptions this is the only page I am promoting now on other exchanges, mailers and traffic coops. Thus exposing our members text and banner ads to a huge audience. Surf-Bar-Traffic promotes for you by investing money in organized surf promos to get our members ads in front of a large audience and to encourage people to join and surf our exchange. By surfing the organized parties and finding the Diamond Claim Pages and TE-Promos Bonus sites, you can earn/win cash paid out to PayPal. We reward surfing members with extra text and banner credits. It is also possible to earn extra credits by showing SBT ads on your site(s). The best way to earn from SBT is to bring in new members and encourage them to upgrade and/or buy ad packs. And of course indirectly by promoting your best opportunities in the surf and with banner and text ads. We pay out all members for cash earned from upgrades/purchases from their downline. Free members can redeem cash earned from surfing, promos and contests only for upgrades/credit packs at Surf-Bar-Traffic and other sites I own
  2. Quote: Especially if your ad is unique and persuasive I can't agree more. Especially in traffic exchanges and safelists where you only have a few seconds to grab the viewers attention. I create my own splashes and banners as possible for programs I promote and brand most of them with my own name and picture. CTR has improved a lot since I started doing that.
  3. I agree one should help ones downline if they have a serious question or problem. What do I mean with serious? Most programs have a page step1, step2 or a 'how does it work' page. I am not wasting time on people that join everything that is free and do not take the time to read even the basics of the program they joined and send in a support ticket five minutes after they joined asking "how do I make money with this".
  4. No I don't think they are. Not only for commissions but also to save me time on long term earning credits; many TEs i.e. give you a percentage of credits that your downline earnes surfing. However not all downline builders are the same. For many applies that people have to join first, than log-in and than go to the downline builder section to join under you. I like the ones where people can join under me in some program from a rotating downline builder page while surfing where it is not mandatory to join the downline builder first. Yet for any downline builder applies, it won't work if you don't promote it. And it works best if you insert your IDs everywhere where you can. However almost every program and service has one and there are numerous special downline builder services. How are you going to promote all those? It would cost you tons of time and/or money. Time that is better spent on building your own business or main opportunity mainly. That has been my problem and dilemma for al long time. What I did is starting my own downline builder service that people can join free. They get their personal page. With that page they can promote over 200 popular programs and services, including other downline builders. Plus list their favorites on top. The service is coffee mug themed. People can join under them if they click any mug that peaks in an interest. Without the need to join the mugged downlinebuilder first. I am now promoting only my main service graphic designs and my personal downline builder link everywhere. So I need less credits to build more downlines everywhere and of course les time earning credits. Of course I have filled out my IDs in most listed programs as well.
  5. Getting traffic motivates me most and are the motivation to surf mainly. I am member of quit a few but there are only a few I surf regularly. I explore TEs to see in what ways the can help me to earn credits faster. I always set up a profile when i can and fill out the downline builder in most. I don't care much for stickers, points or badges or individual surf parties. I like features similar as commandosurf and nerd surf. Additionally surfing sites is one of sources for inspiration to create new graphics. Ofcourse I never copy those but I keep notes about why I liked a graphic and why I clicked through. Additionally chats in TEs are great to make new contacts
  6. In order to get sign ups in your own list or other programs you need traffic. So you need to promote in as many way you can continuously. The power is in the numbers. But not only that. A while back I started created custom banners and splashpages for sites I promote. Especially for very popular programs. This is resulting in better conversion and more sign ups than I got from standard graphic materials from those programs. It is well worh the effort to create your own graphic materials. Or have them made. I create those for affordable prices. Reply if interested. All he best Paula van Dun
  7. Since I am owner of a traffic exchange I joined a lot of TEs to promote my own mainly because I strongly believe in branding and in traffic funneling. But I do want to promote some TEs, Safelists and other programs as well to build downlines that will generate credits and affiliate commissions. For that reason I created the SBT coffee mug themed downline builder that has over 200 popular programs listed. I am promoting my personal url on other exchanges and safelists. The great thing about this downlinebuilder is that people can join under me even if they do not join the downlinebuilder just my clicking on a mug listing. I made sure that I have filled out all downlinebuilders in mugged programs as well. This way I need very few credits promoting my secondairy programs. You can have your personal downline builder page also. It is free and it is not mandatory to join surf-bar-traffic (allthough I hope you do). Marketing Checkpoint is also mugged. If you are a program owner you can buy a mug listing for 99 a year. Its affordable handsfree promotion.
