  1. I am a great believer in giving away free ads on my sites as I have mentioned earlier bit I thing that you can also grab new members by offering a free programto new members as well. There are different ways that you can do this having started way back in the 80's with a BBS I very quickly learnt ways to promote. We were the first BBS in Australia to do a live demonstration at a computer show and actually signup new members at that show. I did a JV Partnership with a company that developed and gave away freeware programs for owners and members of BBS. We had other BBS owners coming to our display and telling us that this would be the last year that we would be the only ones at a Computer Trade Show. Another Christmas I teamed up with a group of BBS owners and approached manufacturers to donate software and computers for a big Christmas Treasure Hunt. We increased our member base that Christmas by over 60% and all the BBS's that participated showed the same results. Now it is harder to have a physical giveaway like that because our users are from all over the world, however we can still giveaway relevant software programs that would help our users.

  3. It is all about the mind...How well do you know yourself? Can you focus? Can you follow your destination? Motivation is already a part of you all you have to do is unlock it!
  4. When a site offers 100% commissions one has to stop and think they are giving away all their profits so how will they pay for hosting ...future development..just any ongoing costs?
  5. I am lucky having just changed my hosting to a new host who is a programmer and is brilliant I am so lucky to have found her. She will be be my goto person for new site ideas and maintaining my sites into the future.
  6. Ok I am impressed Clare I joined hopefully in your downline and I like this site very much... I think it is the variety of ways to earn points to promote my sites that I like.
  7. It depends on what your Affiliate Link Shortener leads too Facebook seems to check not just the shortened URL but also the Affiliate link you are promoting. I have found this out by promoting an affilaite url FB does not approve they still block it. This was on FB and in Messenger the FB program.
  8. Be Careful there are currently some Netflix scams doing the rounds on the Internet. I have Netflix and love it but one has to always be vigilante.... I am not saying this is one but make sure you do your due diligence.
  9. Nobody has yet addressed the elephant in the room! You cannot relate best methods of advertising to.. Best methods of sales.... Advertising has to encompass as many methods as you can manage... Lets face it the broader your range of promotions the more people you place your ad in front of... However sales do not count on the areas you promote your advertising.... That depends on how good and enticing your ad is.... How many times have you looked at an ad online and decided no not interested because the ad did not grab you! So advertising comes down to two factors... Does your ad grab peoples attention? Is your ad in the right place? The only way to find this out is REPEAT..REPEAT...REPEAT Also what Tommie has mentioned before TRACKING ... That is your key to finding the best of the best... Take from someone who has been online since before the internet there are three key components... CREATIVITY PERSERVERANCE MEASURING
  10. I do this on all my sites in fact I have instigated a weekly free promocode.... The concept behind this is to encourage members to login a minimum of once a week to receive free advertising. I always increase this during the Holiday periods to grab more interest.
  11. Yes I agree with the fishing parable .... however there is also another side to the fish coin... You can give the people what they want on your sites but better to teach them how to do it so they can duplicate it and increase your downlines. ( didn't want to use the teach a man to fish thing thought it needs updating in our industry) :-)
  12. I think it also has a lot to do with what you offer! Do you give something that others are looking for to become members of your TE or are you just looking to increase numbers? I think the key here is how you help people solve the problem they want answered. You can lead a horse to water but you cannot make him drink unless he is thirsty. You have to know you audience you need to know what they are looking for one major thing that people are looking for whether it is on Safelists Traffic Exchanges or Viral Maiers they need leads. They are looking for people that will join their site or buy their product those are key identify your visitors with either of those categories and they will listen to you and join you. Yes that does come down to what others have already said in this thread know your audience and you will understand the market they are shopping in. Create a desire in your visitors that you have what they are looking for and then monetize it and see your life change. Now I am no expert by any means I have not yet found my pot of gold ... but that is what I am working on. Learning from others Trying different methods Adding to my knowledge of online marketing. That is why we are here to do.... JUST LEARN!
  13. I have found that on my own sites if I want to promote via a text or traffic link if I make it a single colour (yes I am an Aussie and we spell it that way LOL ) it does stand out from the rest of the links. With these type of ads you can use the font command for colour bold and size. So yes I do believe that colour is worth using. Now graphics yes absolutely however I am still do not know how too include graphics in a solo to create that impact.
  14. Just to Add my two bits worth PayPal affected all my sites and that also affected other things that I purchase online. I like to support others and if I see something that I could use and it also helps someone else then I would purchase it via PayPal. Unfortunately because I linked my Debit Cards to PayPal I can no longer pay or accept payments through PayPal to Ebay or JvZoo so PayPal now controls who I can do business with online! May I point out that my TAE's had nothing to do with what I purchase online. So well done PayPal for preventing other businesses that I used to buy from no longer able to make any profit from me.
  15. Yes I have found this on all my sites when I approve members emails. My thoughts are that when the text you post directly after the link or the quote does not have a space then the program you are posting to thinks it is either part of the text or the quote. I have seen the same thing on Facebook when you are posting a comment to a post and you include someone name it automatically searches user names and changes it to a link so you have to add a space to prevent the link. I wonder how long though before the programs catch up and realise people are using spaces to keep the message how they meant it to be, and it gets changed to suit the programs instead of the user.
  16. I have been a member since the early ISO Register days and have used the Marketing tools quite extensively, I spoke to the owner about 45 days ago about paying for the new membership because of the PayPal fiasco. He told me then that they would instigate a Payza payment gateway eventually in the mean time he gave me a Founders Account because I took the Lifetime Membership way back when they changed from ISO Register. I will continue to use all the Marketing Tools and I will continue to promote as it is not costing me any more.
  17. Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.” ― Winston S. Churchill
  18. Hi Stephen another thing that you could try that others have not mentioned as yet is to see if you can get some JV Partners who also have their own TAE's and see if they would be willing to do a cross promotion with you. This was how I first started up my own TAE's today I am looking at over 1000 members in one of mine and 900 in another. Really all it takes is perserverance ...creativity... and others willing to help you.
  19. I do at least 10 exchanges everyday in between managing my own sites. Over a period of time I have found that my downlines slowly build up so I can count on extra bonus points to help top up my advertising. I always advertise all my own sites everyday plus other groups of sites that I hve received good results from. The bottom ine is you can surf as many sites as you want in a day but if you are not tracking your results then you are not reaping the rewards that TAE's can bring you. I must also point out that I balance advertising across many platforms so as to increase the visibilty of my ads... eg Blogs Twitter Facebook Pintrest Forums...
  20. I would like to add my two cents worth here.. from two perspectives... First as an Admin Owner of a group of TAE's I want to provide my members with the best value for money for their advertising that I can. Since the NoPayPal fiasco I have had to rethink my sites and again it is about my members so I instigated extra promocodes because I could no longer provide paid advertising. As a user of several hundred TAE's since around 1995 I look for good click thru rates on my advertising I still believe in good rule of thumb that a site needs to be visited at least 7 times before most users will sit up and take notice, I do not think playing games on a TAE is the best way to go as it detracts from what the TAE is there for. If I want to play games I will go to a games site rather than use up my credits and time on a TAE playing a game.
  21. Yes this is a very good Mailer I too have been using it for a long time and it does produce results.
  22. I agree this is a good system I sent money to purchase an online membership and they rang me first to confirm that I had authorised the transaction.
