  1. My post was a positive one, in praise of list owners. Everything is fine.
  2. I've never used color but I do use bold, italic or underline. I plan to start using an attention-grabbing image, instead of text. The reason is I personally tend to actually stop and take notice of an email when it opens to an image. Most others I simply look for the credit link, since the website will do all the talking anyway.
  3. Just wanted to say thanks to all those who run safelists. I've run into various issues with some of the sites lately, none of which are the direct fault of the owners. It's technology, and its the Internet (and sometimes a brain-fart of my own). Things happen. Time is limited for fixing things that go wrong. You all have lives outside the box. And if any of my support tickets have come across less friendly that I intended, I apologize. I try to make all tickets as friendly sounding as possible, even when I'm frustrated beyond all common sense - LOL. You're all doing a great job, juggling all the ins & outs of business, and doing your best to provide a much needed service. I hope I speak for others as well when I say it's not taken granted. If I could afford to upgrade to the highest level of all the safelists I use, I would! That is all. Have a great day!
  4. Strange. I've continued to receive new credit mail, but the site is completely unreachable.
  5. Edit: It's been confirmed that the site is down. Can anyone else reach the Max Mailer Pro site at maxmailerpro.com? I've pinged, I've tracerouted, used a few different oneline tools to check the site's status. Most results say the site isn't there. A few say it is there. Even DownForEveryoneOrJustMe says it's there, but I can't bring it up in any browser nor on any of my devices.
  6. I was able to bring up the contact form this morning, hopefully it actually went through when I submitted it. The last time I opened a ticket there, it took a while to get a response, so it's anyone's guess when things might change. UPDATE (45 minutes later): Just tried reading some emails and they're moving along as normal now. Member site is loading fine now as well. Gotta go catch up on my reading!
  7. I'm unable to contact the AdTroopers owner because I can't even sign into the site. Tried various browsers, and they all just hang there trying to load the site. Also, credit mails aren't loading. Well.... if I wait as long as ten minutes, they might finally go through. But that's not very productive. This has been going on for a few days now. It's getting down to the wire, however, as there are high-credit solo mails that are piling up, and the 7-day limit is less than two days away. Does anyone know what's going on, or is the AdTroopers owner a member here so I can get in touch?
  8. Someone gave me a -1 reputation for my post.
  9. Where can I view my total credits and other stats for mailing? Edit: Nevermind, they showed up after posting this topic. LOL ...yeah I'm a little slow sometimes.
  10. Thanks, Darren. I do try to get to these mails well before the expiry, but it's not always possible. Up very late tonight cramming in some much needed credits on a number of lists.
  11. I've come across 30 or more credit emails tonight that have expired well before the 96-hour expiry time. It is currently June 20th, and at 11:43pm local time I opened a credit mail that was received June 17th at 4:53am local time. It was flagged as expired, even though 96 hours has not passed. This same problem occurred a couple weeks ago when using Viral Inbox, so I changed over to Gmail but it's happening again. Is this a time zone problem? If so, is there not a way to have credit links expire according to the person's local time zone?
  12. Well that's an interesting factoid if I ever saw one. LFMVM is the script I bought. Didn't realize at the time that I also needed to purchase a bunch of add-ons to give me the features most people look for (which I can't afford right now). But a guy's gotta start somewhere, I suppose, so it will be a basic mailer until revenue helps grow it.
  13. I've been meaning to ask the same thing. Thinking of starting a safelist, and I purchased a script a couple months ago but a little shy to begin, not knowing all the ins & outs of it. Any advice for me and Steve would be much appreciated!
  14. Thanks Darren and Jerry (and thank you Jerry for sparing my life this time). Just got home from a road trip, so I'll review the materials first chance I get. Celia, good post! I hadn't given much thought to that aspect of it all. There's so much to keep track of in this game. So yes, I'll focus a little more on downlines like you say. Thanks!
  15. You did see the note at the top of my post that says the issue was resolved, right?
  16. So... I can imagine one of two scenarios: Nobody wants to give away their secrets. Everyone's secrets are against ToS's, so they can't talk about them.
  17. I think in the early days of exit pops that may have been true, and likely still true for a small percentage of marketers. These days they exist because it's "the thing to do", a bit of a fad in my opinion. Everybody is doing them, and so many experienced marketers are preaching them that the newcomers trust that it's a good idea. Exit pops are also a near-necessity to lead people into upsells. That being said, I probably will never use them. If I do, there'd have to be an awfully good reason (and not because the product isn't good )
  18. Awesome, yes, I just received mine a short while ago. I feel bad that a couple of the highlights were me asking about problems, but everything worked out in the end. No marketers were harmed during those posts. lol
  19. Over the years, since 2008, I've dabbled with safelists and TE's, but didn't dig in very deep because they seemed less effective. But recently my resources have dried up so I no longer have the option of paying for advertising. So I decided to take a serious look at safelists, TE's and similar tools. The advice I need is what's the best way to utilize sites like these? Keep in mind that I cannot upgrade at any of them, it has to be all non-paid for now, until things pick up enough that I can upgrade - which is what I would definitely do when I can. Reading credit mails to gain enough credits to send enough mail is taking almost all of my available marketing time. There is no time left to create a product, self-educate on the latest this & that, do other things that need to be done... and I really need to see some results, some conversions, some sales! Safelist marketing isn't my only option for free advertising, I know that. But I feel it's a good option, and feel that it can work for me if I know how to work it. So... any hot tips & tricks from the more experienced safelisters out there?
  20. Update: The owner responded last night (Sunday) and apologized for not seeing my earlier messages, and gave me the signup credits, so everything is worked out now. Thanks for everyone's input on this.
  21. It would actually be a third email. The first one was to request the credits. The second one was asking again just before the 72-hour period was gone. I don't want to be seen as a pest, but I guess I should try one more time.
  22. I find that many lists will allow one, and one only. I don't mind them so much, as I know it's all part of the game. What I don't like is lists like GOT Safelist who puts their own exit pop into every single ad. Even if the advertiser doesn't have one, GOT puts one in anyway. So not only do I have to click an icon to validate, I also have to click an exit pop.
  23. ============================================================ ==== Please note that this issue has been resolved satisfactorily. ==== ============================================================ Hey everyone, I joined AdTroopers earlier this week, and one of their perks is getting 25,000 credits for signing up. They require you to contact support to request the credits, which is what I did immediately after registering, and was told it may take up to 72 hours (3 days). It has now been 4 days. I did ask again toward the end of the 72-hour period, but have received no response and no credits. Since joining I've been clicking every single credit mail, and have collected 38,000 credits. But it's the principle of the matter; I was promised a signup bonus and haven't gotten it. It makes me wonder if I made a bad choice. Are they usually non-responsive like this?
  24. Good info, Robert! Especially regarding Ulti-send, which I started using recently. I'll check the video, too. Thanks!
  25. Thanks for your input, apsuccess. That would be nice, for sure. Anyone else? My intention here is not to be confrontational or to diss anyone's list. I'm just trying to get a feel for what people like/dislike, in case I want to run my own in the near future.
