  1. It would be nice if the owner would make it clear before one goes through the registration process that it's a paid only site.
  2. Cool. Thanks for clearing things up. I haven't done a whole lot with safelists and TE's over the years, but recently have been focusing on them more. Still getting used to all the various methods of operation.
  3. Hi John, thanks for the reply. I can't remember how I found the FB group; might've been an old link or article online. Maybe I searched FB to see if you had a group - I've been known to act proactively like that, lol. Support tickets.... again, can't recall since it was a while back, but it was probably something to do with not being able to log in after registering at Ninja. In fact, now I think about it, I believe I also contacted Jerry Iannucci because he seemed to have some connection to you. Like I said, it was a while ago. I haven't looked much at Ninja since joining; partly because I get so few emails, and partly because it seemed hard to get hold of you. I did leave a message (or two?) at your personal FB page, but no answer. Anyway, at this point I'm mostly unsure about how I can get credits for mailing. The credit links give me points, but when I do a mailing it says I need credits. ??
  4. Does anyone know if Mailer Ninja is worth pursuing? Since I joined a few months ago I haven't received any responses to support tickets. Requested to join their Facebook group but there's been no response all this time. I'm reading their credit emails but they're only earning me points, not credits. Today I decided to try sending mail, and it said I can mail up to 581 members, but I have no credits. I sent anyway, but none have actually been sent, according to the stats box beneath the mailer. Do I walk away?
  5. What ticks you off or makes you happy when safelisting? A few of my own dislikes includes: Being forced to view ads before I can send.Having to click "Leave this page" after every single ad (a few safelists do have this "feature", it's not the advertiser's doing)Captcha security checks (I'd much rather do a simple click on an icon rather than have to type in 2 or 3 words)Tiny credit rewards (1 credit per ad? Really??) My likes include: Short timers for non-paid ads (Contact solos and the like, sure, but why 30 seconds for free ads??)Opening at least 10 ads at a time, with timers running simultaneously.Personalization on free account mailings So what are your likes/dislikes?
  6. Personally, I don't like to use link shorteners because they're not reliable, and have a bad rep on some sites. Twitter, for instance, likes to suddenly decide that a bit.ly link may be malicious. And then there are the shortener sites that like to disappear out of the blue. I do use bit.ly for some things, otherwise I create my own with a PHP redirect, which is very Web friendly, even Google doesn't choke on them. Trackers? I'm ashamed to admit I've never tracked, so I can't say much about that. ...except that I really should start tracking. (yes, I've lost a few points off my Internet Marketers Club card now, lol)
  7. Safelists do work, and they exist for a few reasons: They give the owner a place to advertise. They make money for the owner. They give the rest of us a place toGain experience advertising and marketing online (a lot can be learned with safelists)Advertise without having to pay (a huge help for newbies and/or low budgets)Test campaigns and new ideas before going to paid solutions. There are many naysayers against safelists, but they do serve a valuable purpose, and do work. As Paulserban said: if you do it correctly!
