  1. Hi I am Diane Mumm, very happy to have found this informative forum.. I live in the midwest and have been marketing seriously online since 2008. I own Mountain High Viral Mailer, and market a few others things useful for the anyone that markets online I am a avid gardener and owned a greenhouse business for 13 years here on our farm, I retired it in 2012 but still love growing. Been married for 30 yrs and have 3 grown children and one grandchild.. Look forward to communicating with like minded marketers..
  2. Oh boy this is a loaded question.. I have a few things I wish would change with mailers.. 1)can only open few mails at a time 2)1-5 credits per click I often wonder if some of these owners do any surfing , as I feel if they did they would see what a pain this is.. 3)Mailing to inactive members-meaning many signup to a mailer and never again use it or they only use it once in a great while.. 4) Not enough credits to earn when upgraded to mail to the entire membership for the month.. say they have 4000 subscribed members, and I can only have enough mails to earn 1000 credits.. for that next days mailing, this means I don't reach all the members.. really pointless.. 5) yes multiple ads when you log in... very spammy!
  3. Top safelists can vary person to person.. it will depend on your own personal tracking. If you are upgraded to a mailer sure your results can be better as you can mail more.. if you are a free member , many mailers don't let you mail to the entire list , so then that mailer may not be on one's top list.. there is just too many variables and one's top may not be another's top list..
  4. My thoughts are get their full name , first and last.. I like to know who I am talking too.. and if people really want to be taken serious and brand themselves use your full name.. when opting in.. you usually can tell who is serious marketer. I have had no issue with full names in my opt in forms.. who knows though how many are bogus.. The serious people always stand out..
  5. Garrett, I can import emails if I setup the custom area correctly.. for some reason not all will import and I am not sure why.. but many will.. Nick will not help me with this at slgenie.. he doesn't like the custom field .. but we need it more than ever now that he is limiting mailers.. you just have to have the settings correctly.. and if you need help with it you can find me on skype too (diane.mumm) and yes I can read mails that are setup in custom field..
  6. You need free and paid member sites to keep them active and growing.. I belong to one that is very inactive as paid members receive many credits, then no need to earn credits .. therefore no one is looking at your ads.. this is my experience.. I am seeing that free members is what keeps our mailers thriving in the long run.. I have had many free members signup for what I promote, I don't see that so much with paid members sites.. so a combination of both is best ..
  7. I have great results with mailers , if I consistently promote.. and I like mailers too..
  8. As a owner now of a viral mailer , I now know and understand both sides of marketing on safelists. As in being a member and being a owner.. I now understand the viral mailing system and there is a lot that can be improved. I believe and sincerely wish all owners would clean their list.. If you say you have 2500 members and only 1-5 are opening something needs done.. It seems like some owners not all are really active at first once them launch then a month or 2 down the road their is no more promotion, meaning no more new members.. then the mailer just slowly dies off.. A good percentage I have found just don't choose to be active.. and this is everywhere .. If the owners would get the inactives out of their mailers the ctr would be much better.. is it that the total subscribed members is what impresses people ,well it doesn't impress me as it usually isn't so.. Numbers are so deceiving when a good percentage isn't even using the mailer regularly.. My mailer member count will never be as high as others, my mailer list is cleaned daily for inactives.. I know how hard and how much time it takes to earn credits.. cause I do it everyday still as a owner.. Members deserve a active list.. Not to be sending to members inboxes that haven't logged in for some time, or never logged in.. thanks for listening, Diane
  9. Darren, I used to feel the same but once I became a owner I now feel it is important to have members , all members read mails.. even if it is just a few mails.... You will have a much more views to your ads when done this way. Afterall that is what we want is eyeballs to see our ads, this helps increase the percentage and it is working on my mailer, at least I feel it is.. I don't mind doing this at other mailers anymore as long as I am getting results.. Diane
