Are your ads getting views but no clicks, or are they not being shown?

The site seems to be back to normal again now...
-
It was quite some time ago so it's a bit hazy, but mostly ordering traffic. I do remember one particular gig quite well... I'd set up a new Twitter account and someone was offering to get hundreds of REAL followers really fast, with the emphasis on REAL. I read all the testimonials and everyone seemed really pleased with the results, so I ordered something like 1,000 followers. Problem was, nearly every one of those 'followers' were clearly fake accounts with zero tweets. The result - that Twitter account was rendered useless and I was furious. I know I had not lost any real money to speak of, but the fact that someone would clearly lie outright about them being genuine followers really angered me and I never ordered another gig after that. I suppose different services like graphic design might be more reliable, but I don't know...

Do You think a cell phone is a nescessity for business?
davepilgrim replied to Phyllis Wolfe's topic in Social Media
I hate talking on the phone - I use email or texts whenever I can. I mostly use the mobile version of this forum but switch to desktop view intermittently to view people's signatures, change my settings, etc. -
Work from home jobs that are Scams
davepilgrim replied to mistracy39's topic in Scams, Rip-offs, and More
There is a company in the UK called Sensee who pay homeworkers to do call-centre type customer service work. I can't guarantee they're 100% legit but from what I've seen they do appear to be genuine... -
Yeah, I just received an email saying it was free, too, linking to a squeeze page which said it was free, but the squeeze page didn't work!

Do you use createsplashpages.com ? Looks like it's been hacked! Hopefully this will be short-lived and sorted by the time you're reading this, but I suggest you check your splash pages...

This site gets a LOT of traffic... Whereas some adboards will email you after a few days to let you know you ad has dropped off the front page and needs to be resubmitted, FunGuppy emails you after a few HOURS to tell you this, so as long as you keep resubmitting your ad regularly you can expect a lot of views.

Do You think a cell phone is a nescessity for business?
davepilgrim replied to Phyllis Wolfe's topic in Social Media
I do a LOT of my work on my phone. I spend a lot of time out and about, so my phone allows me to carry on marketing and networking on the go. I rarely make calls on it, but spend a lot of time online. There's a definite trend now towards mobile internet use, with about 55% of internet traffic coming from phones. In fact, that is one of the reasons I'm promoting Mike Glaspie's latest and greatest program, which features a brandable mobile app and a 2x14 matrix... I'm sure many of you will be aware which program I'm talking about, but I won't post the link here unless I'm asked... The point being, anyway, that mobile internet marketing is already big and rapidly getting bigger. -
What results have you had so far with the ads?

I'm loving Marketing Checkpoint since I joined about a month ago... Are there any other similar forums out there that members are using?

Did You Have Professional Offline Sales Training Before Coming Online?
davepilgrim replied to captkirk's topic in Commons
Yes, a sales background, but more customer service orientated. So my approach online is similar - just make sure my products/services are exposed to as many people as possible and try to be as helpful and available as I can be to anyone with problems or enquiries. -
As well as fiverr I also dabbled with a similar site called onedollarr. I figured if I stuck with sellers who had lots of positive reviews I'd see decent results, but it turns out people are just dumb and will give a good review even when the service delivered is shockingly bad! So I don't bother with those sites now.

When I'm surfing I'm usually keeping an eye open for interesting new sites that could benefit me. I'm also making mental notes about which pages 'work' and which don't - as Bruce Lee said, I'm 'absorbing what is useful'
-
I actually think this site, which belongs to Frank Salinas, is far better than his latest one...
-
Same here... The main thing was I wanted to add a program to the downline builder, which is obviously getting exposure to the entire membership. The monthly upgrade allowed me to do that, but I'll see what sort of conversions that brings me...

When I first came across it a week or two ago, I think while surfing Leadsleap, I actually laughed out loud - $25 an hour for watching videos seemed absurd! But I kept seeing it advertised here and there and thinking 'Hmmm... Maybe it could be feasable' So, like you I'm skeptical but because it's free I figured what do I have to lose?

Hi Troy, I read your post a few hours ago and immediately knew this program would be a great help to you and your wife... Only problem was, I'd already put it aside just the other day because I don't do telephone marketing, and it took me a few hours to remember what the program was called- 2 replies

Just joined this new TE and loving it! http://crazy-cat-surf.com/?rid=275 I don't do TEs much these days (except Dark Hits, of course) but this one is different. Didn't hesitate to upgrade, either, as it was such a good deal. http://crazy-cat-surf.com/?rid=275

Leadsleap. It's a fantastic source of highly targetted traffic, plus I get the chance to discover new programs there that can help me in my promotions.

Tell us your #1 Fav Traffic Exchange or Mailer & Why
davepilgrim replied to KarriDaltonHull's topic in Commons
My favourite TE, as I've mentioned before in the Program threads, is Dark Hits http://darkhits.com/?rid=59986 Free members get a 1:1 exchange ratio and a 5 second timer, which is easily enough time to grab surfers' attention, yet not so long that they will feel they need to surf multiple exchanges at once. The problem with long surf timers is that your site usually gets viewed for LESS time as surfers will have multiple TEs open in their browser, jumping from one to another in rapid succession and clicking like a demon! When the timer is only 4 or 5 seconds, they will be more likely to focus on just that one TE, which means they are actually MORE likely to notice your website. Upgrades are VERY affordable and allow you to rack up a ridiculously large number of credits in no time at all. You also earn credits from your referrals' surfing, and because this is a very active TE you get your traffic delivered FAST. http://darkhits.com/?rid=59986
