  1. Apparently the latest shut-down was a "vacation". Not sure how long James paid for the hosting this time - hopefully it won't disappear again in a month's time.
  2. Clare - I'm not sure either. TEs that say 'gmail preferred' I understand. TEs that mandate it I don't. I can understand that gmail messages gets delivered, but surely making sure the emails are read is more important. And in the LFMTE script if the email bounces the account gets locked until a new email address is confirmed. So if my email address bounces I'm going to get locked out of my account until I fix it.
  3. I went to sign up at a couple of sites today that insisted that I use a G Mail email address. They actually wouldn't let me sign up if I didn't. What is the deal with that? It seems downright stupid. First off, every other TE, mailer etc. manages to successfully send me email to my regular account. So why try to insist that this email address is not acceptable? It's just rude. Second, I only use G Mail as a junk email account. So will read the sign-up email to click the link to verify the account, but that is the last email that I will ever read from your program. So if your goal was to make sure I never read another email from you for the rest of my life, well done - mission accomplished.

    Co-op MG

It changed ownership some time ago and a few things changed. The error message is relatively new though.
  5. I would love to write some honest and frank splash page text for Stellar Hits... Join the site,Buy an upgrade,James closes the site (it's all your fault for not spending more money),James opens the site again,Find that your account has disappeared, andRepeat.
  6. I have been a member of Alert Pay, which then became Payza, for many years and I have never had any trouble with them. However I know that others have, particularly those in countries where their accounts were frozen (like the USA).
  7. JB hasn't really explained what the reason is for not being able to offer a zubee to cash conversion. It's his program so there is no reason why he can't, but if was going to that he should have made the change straight away last November.
  8. The biggest problem in all of this was a lack of transparency/communication from JB over the last 3 months. There has been very little communication, then suddenly 'no more converting zubees to cash'.
  9. Latest update says (in part): "At this point it is highly unlikely that the option to redeem your zubees for cash will ever return." "The opportunity here is to rebuild the site up from this foundation in ways that bring real value to our partners and the audience that aligns in their best interest. I will still have cash contests, because let's face it -- they're fun. But the focus clearly needs to be towards quality as opposed to volume in the day to day."
  10. Once it is gone there is very little chance that it will come back. i don't remember a site ever coming back after going off line.
  11. If you want to make $50 to $100 a day... get a job, you might even be able to earn more than that. If you want to make $50 to $100 a day online, you are not going to build up to that in a hurry. It will take time and a lot of work.
  12. I have been a member there for a long time, but only surf there occasionally. I should surf there more.
  13. Where you can get a lifetime upgrade at a good site they are really valuable. But generally I avoid them - especially the ones where the numbers don't add up. Some questions to consider before taking a lifetime upgrade offer: If they sell lifetime upgrades, and upgraded members get x thousand credits each month, are there going to be enough free members etc. for the site to deliver that volume of hits or emails each month? Lifetime upgrades means no more income from the members who take the lifetime offer, so are there enough other paying members to cover the site's costs like hosting, commission payments etc?
  14. 1. TEs are for advertising, not for earning $. If you happen to earn some commissions that's a bonus. The idea is to earn $ from whatever it is that you are advertising. 2. "You are paid to watch ads, surf"... err, no. In a TE you earn credits to use for advertising, you do not get paid for surfing. If you are getting paid for surfing then it's not really a genuine TE, it's a paid to surf site.
  15. What nonsense. A TE is a marketing tool. A Bitcoin faucet is a way of earning a small amount of money from viewing some ads - closer to a PTC than a TE. They are two completely different things. Or do you think that TE surfers are going to start buying advertising space on Bitcoin faucets instead of using TEs? I can't see that happening.
  16. Payza works for me. I have used Bitcoin a little, but I don't particularly like it.
  17. To add insult to injury, James also sent this email without hiding everyone's email address. How he expects his site to be financially self supporting with only 400 odd members is beyond me.
  18. What is suspicious about ClickBank? It has been around for years. BTW, I haven't noticed any TE/mailer owners using it, but lots of other types of vendors use it.
  19. I have mainly only used Wordpress and found it fairly easy to set up. However finding the right themes and plugins can be quite time consuming.
  20. Good advice. It's very easy to jump from one program to the next without ever getting anywhere.
  21. I don't think they will be back. However you can still earn Zubee's here via Porky Points (or at least you could last time I checked)
  22. I haven't been using it for long, but Leads Leap seems quite good.
  23. You should have stopped at "they say on the front page they have 4 cent clicks". What legitimate program is going to pay you 4 cents per click?
  24. Alert Pay, as far as I can recall, wasn't involved in any scams themselves, but they were the payment processor for a large Ponzi scheme (as PayPal was for Traffic Monsson). From memory it was 12 Daily Pro that was shut down by the SEC. Because of the amount of money involved I think Alert Pays own bank accounts were frozen. They were also fairly loose with applying their TOS etc. so this wasn't the only scam they were processing payments for. They lost their ability to process credit card transactions etc. Alert Pay froze members accounts while its own funds were frozen. The business was restructured and came back some time later as Payza. PayPal is a much bigger company, but they are trying to manage their risk exposure. Unfortunately they aren't doing this in a particularly sophisticated way, so lots of legitimate TEs and mailers have been effected. They now seem to view the industry as high risk.
  25. James seems to have switched his attention to Click Track Profit for the time being.
