    there are lot of ways, now they are offering free autoresponder and mailing list manager and you can even host phplist in your server.

    i started email marketing thru herculist and the lists of safelists grows on before you can host your safelists then now it's gone, im also using viral mailers.

    im still a free member on it, it's quite responsive for me, sending to 1000 members and i never escalated but i got signups on it on free programs with option to upgrade

    just sweeten the deal be it a freeware giveaway, ebook or webinar giveaway but you put in your subscription form box before they receive the link. that would catch them up, while you build your list.

    mailchimp is only an autoresponder/mailing list manager, aiop offers a lot like trackers, splash pages, etc.

    im half-half still i guess, because im still promoting in herculist though when i have the budget i like their lifetime gold upgrades. herculist has been here for so long a time. i also welcome viral mailers of which im also a member of

    when it's ip address is blacklisted in spamhaus zen to look it all up, then it's useless promotion, your email will come bouncing back to you.

    there are a lot of free viral mailers that you don't need to upgrade but you can send to a lot of people but you have to trade in clicks.

    when you're in a hurry the advantage is buy more time. while other websites usually block these bots nowadays so you get to post to fewer and fewer websites
