We're trying out various social media content formats for our scrap metal recycling company and I'm interested in what others have found to be successful.
We've seen at Divine Metal Recycling that sometimes, articles about recycling various metals, or offering some basic recycling tips, generate more interaction than basic announcements about services. I just had to ask myself if there is a general preference for educational posts versus promotion posts, particularly for businesses where the product isn't "visual" i.e. not a photo of a car for a car dealership.
If you are in charge of social media marketing for your local businesses, which types of content have proven themselves to be effective for you? Which of these types of videos creates more reach and engagement: behind-the-scenes, customer stories, educational posts, or community involvement?
I would love to know what works for you and your experiences and what strategies have been successful in the long run.
