I wouldn't join any of those programs again, soon or late they'll go down and you'll have invested more in it than you first anticipated and then you realize it's either gone or that you can't withdraw the money (unless you invest even more). Plenty of other ways to earn money. An investment in a training course about marketing is way smarter than gambling with your money in such a system that is not built to last.

What's your experience with AdTroopers?
Kenny Kolijn replied to Joel's topic in Safelists, Mailers, Autoresponders
Yes best to email again. It would be strange if they still don't reply after a second mail. -
any low cost autoresponders
Kenny Kolijn replied to rpsmith's topic in Safelists, Mailers, Autoresponders
Yes there are plenty of low-cost ones around that offer the basics (follow-up messages, broadcasts, some basic statistics). If you're fine with that, you can always grab any and see if you like it. Some of the higher priced autoresponders are actually easier to work with, especially for beginners. And more reliable since they are established companies who invest a lot in improving their product and service. -
If Safelists Don't Work, Why Do They Exist?
Kenny Kolijn replied to Rudi Vanhaecke's topic in Content Writing and Blogging
Most exist because they help marketers to introduce their sites/offers to each other. I don't think starting one for the sole purpose of having a list is going to make the site last for long. What sites that you're using have "sold" your email address? -
Let's talk about safelist sites!
Kenny Kolijn replied to paulserban's topic in Safelists, Mailers, Autoresponders
You might save a lot of time and money if you track all 270 to see where you're getting results (opt -ins to your list, signups, sales,...). Maybe you'll end up with 50 then Or less if you weed out some more. -
any low cost autoresponders
Kenny Kolijn replied to rpsmith's topic in Safelists, Mailers, Autoresponders
Keep in mind that many free or low-cost autoresponder services do not offer more advanced features that you might need in the future once you're more experienced. Some only give you very basic statistics about your subscribers and emails, like your email open rate, click rate etc. But if you want to manage your list better and know exactly who opened what email (and who didn't) , who clicked what link, who didn't open any email in the last days/weeks/months, what emails weren't delivered properly, what time people open your emails, what emails made people unsubscribe and so many other (vital) statistics, then you're much better off with a professional, established autoresponder service that offers a wealth of statistics and many easy integrations with popular apps/systems/... that you might want to use in the future. Moving to another autoresponder later isn't always so easy. Plus also email deliverability is an important factor. Two that are great (and easy to use): Aweber, GetResponse. Just my suggestions. -
Abandoned Safelists/Mailers
Kenny Kolijn replied to Steve Jones's topic in Safelists, Mailers, Autoresponders
In the List Viral members area it now says "ListViral Has Been Acquired By TimTech". I no longer have an upgrade there, had a yearly upgrade before. -
Abandoned Safelists/Mailers
Kenny Kolijn replied to Steve Jones's topic in Safelists, Mailers, Autoresponders
We all get burned by people who don't do any efforts to make their site grow, unfortunately. It makes us careful the next time we decide to join one. Most site owners don't treat it as a business and don't really make any personal commitment to their members. If they decide to close their site a few months later, they seem to feel that it's "alright" (I don't get it). There are abandoned sites, but there are also sites that stay "alive" (even by 'respected' owners) but never grow much anymore. For me, it's almost the same, I won't be joining or upgrading in their new sites anymore if they have proven not to care anymore after reaching a certain number of members or after their launch. -
I am sure that vidcommx.com is a scam
Kenny Kolijn replied to paulserban's topic in Scams, Rip-offs, and More
Haven't heard about Rippln thing in a long time. What is actually the "product" or service there? -
Is Pennies 4 Profits a scam?
Kenny Kolijn replied to Thomas H. Keoppel's topic in Scams, Rip-offs, and More
I also noticed it are the same people promoting it, and the way it's "sold" looks suspicious to me, over the top claims as Darren puts it. I don't even want to test it to see if we're right, because I think it'll be a waste of money that is better spent on other things...- 20 replies

What's the point of having a timer but no image to click or other thing to confirm that you're a human being? Better to have no timer at all then, as people can open a lot of sites at the same time and just close them all with 1 click without looking at any.

Let's talk about safelist sites!
Kenny Kolijn replied to paulserban's topic in Safelists, Mailers, Autoresponders
Paul, those icons are there for reason, to prevent cheating. But cheaters always look for new ways too... Those icons also make people look at the page even if it's just a fraction of a second. Using Software and bots just isn't a wise choice. It's against the rules and it will get you banned. The whole idea is that people visit each other's site in return for credits. I'm getting great results with List Avail with my lifetime upgrade. And even if I have enough credits, I still read some mails regularly to support the site and to boost the activity. After all, I want to get the most out of my upgrade, and being active will give other members more clicks and over time also bring new members on board If you use Google Calendar, you can of course edit the entry in your calender right after you have sent an email at a particular mailer so that future events in your calendar are updated to that time too. It doesn't take much time at all. And there are other tools too, that show you when you can send again at your favorite mailers. -
Splash/Capture Page - Tips/Tricks
Kenny Kolijn replied to Matt Koshko's topic in PTC & Traffic Exchanges
I agree that creative, more unique (splash/capture) pages can be good to promote a site (compared to the general referral link that everyone uses), but sometimes I found that the main page... works best and gives me more conversions than other pages. It's good to test and track your results and always try somehting different to see what works best for your particular site/offer. For the industry that I'm (and most of you) are in, I prefer to focus on promoting through capture pages, to build my list in the first place and share my experience and tips with others who might be "new". If I can help them avoid some mistakes that I made when I first started out, my day is already good. It's also not always the most "pretty" page that converts best. A simple, straight to the point message works good for me. I try to tell people exactly what's in it for them. On other occasions I try to get them just curious enough to click or opt-in, giving them a hint. -
Abandoned Safelists/Mailers
Kenny Kolijn replied to Steve Jones's topic in Safelists, Mailers, Autoresponders
If you don't have the time to manage a site, better don't start one. Or if you start, then find someone to help you. People don't just pay for "access" to a site, they pay for a service that can help them get more results with their online business. And they expect it to be around for a long time so that they get something back in return for their money. Bad news spreads fast (support tickets not answered, commissions not paid, ...) and before you know it, you're burned. -
Twice Confirmed Traffic?
Kenny Kolijn replied to Jerry Iannucci's topic in Scams, Rip-offs, and More
I didn't test it myself as it reminded me of a few other similar programs that were pure scams. Friends of mine did test it and their conclusion was that it's garbage.Twice confirmed garbage. Good observation Keith -
I think 30 days or more is definitely acceptable. I don't mind waiting for a while to get paid, as long as I get paid and I don't have to go find out that I have commissions pending and beg to be paid. The site owner should be the one to pay out commissions after a clearly stated waiting period. For my banner advertising site I pay the commissions at the end of the next month. However,I'm thinking of changing it, there are some benefits to that in terms of "instant rewards" and encouraging members to keep going.

Now that I got a solid foundation I'm spending less time to generate (more) traffic than before. But then again I'm using the extra free time to "work" on new projects, even if that's not really "working" as I love what I'm doing. If you have ideas and want something, you can enjoy "working" on the details and planning everything. Currently I have a full time day job. I wake up 6AMand return home 7.30PM, so I use my evenings, weekends, lunch breaks and train & bus rides to do some work

How to build a strong relationship with your subscribers
Kenny Kolijn replied to Kenny Kolijn's topic in Commons
Yes that's very important. We're all human beings of flesh and blood, no robots If we provide value and stay real, we can get a long way. Reaching out to others, sharing our experiences, it all builds relationships. -
Good point, but there's still the fact that (for beginners) it can really make a big difference to have a helping hand or good advice from your sponsor. It could save them many months or years of trial and error. I'm not saying that they should totally rely on a sponsor or expect him to do the work for them, but at least getting some solid advice could make a big difference.

How to Choose an Affiliate Program
Kenny Kolijn replied to Rudi Vanhaecke's topic in Affiliate/MLM/Network Marketing
Some good points raised here Rudi. It's definitely worth it to take enough time to find the "right" opportunity/product to promote, something that will last and has real value. There are many opportunities for internet marketers, and we're all looking for something that matches with our interests and goals. An important question that I ask myself before becoming an affiliate and promoting something is this: "Does this have real value, regardless of the affiliate compensation plan?" "Does it help people to get closer to their goals?" Of course that's a personal choice. I don't want to promote something just because I can earn with it. Of course, as an internet marketer it's super easy to just promote stuff that you haven't even tried yourself, but that's maybe a whole different topic Millions of dollars are generated by people recommending products that they don't even own or have not tried yet. -
Buying Contacts from a list broker
Kenny Kolijn replied to Jim Hipschmidt's topic in Safelists, Mailers, Autoresponders
Can you give an example of brokers who generate exclusive leads? Sounds better than buying leads that many marketers have bought (and emailed) before you. -
Downline Builders a Waste Of Time?
Kenny Kolijn replied to Ernie Geeting's topic in Affiliate/MLM/Network Marketing
I don't really promote "pure" downline builders, but every time I join a new site, I enter my id's in their downline builder and regularly get signups this way. -
Well, if you have a big downline and enough referrals who take a monthly subscription and keep it, you can definitely earn a good residual income by promoting mailers (or other sites). A quality mailer can definitely be worth promoting. I personally use a lot of mailers but more as tools to make my own sites and lists grow, not with the goal to earn by promoting them although that happens frequently. I do have a Traffic Exchange that I promote, where I grabbed myself a lifetime reseller account. That was a real bargain that brings in 100% commissions on upgrades.
