  1. Wow, that flattered me and yeah I didnt want to make you mad because I know I can be harsh on opinions. And sorry it took awhile to come back here to respond to that kindness you posted, I was killing some spider mess in the garage and house cleaning on a massive scale! (and now the crickets and moths get to live without be wrapped up in a silk sack for god knows how long haha)
  2. It took the term mailer, which is the same as a safelist, but then put the word viral in front and it's not even viral. That has irked me for the past 5 years because it's incorrect. Subconciously show it is somehow different and it is not
  3. That's why I upgrade there because whenever I do click I search those out too (the fat credit emails)
  4. I wonder why? I am curious (about excluded). And.. you do? I thought you would get angry for saying such things against that world, glad you didn't though as not trying to anger anyone.
  5. And I'm so glad you still like it!! :-) it is 8 years old now. Cant believe it still grows after all this time. Maybe because it's so basic, dont know.
  6. lol dan moses is part of that group, the launch manager was part of the spider web and advertises within that camp. But he didn't come up with that idea. It's very old, I had it almost 10 years or so ago and I didnt come up with that idea either. It's like banners, no one knows who came up with that idea. Plus, alot of the game mods, save your money - those are free on the net. Bubble game and such - look it up in google. But do what you want, I just have been astonished on how much people have invested in money and time into that world the past 5 years, for nothing
  7. That is an old technique, from what I remember it would be too much (would make a browser stall or something like that) Owning a safelist and making them live past a year, is not easy to do,. I saw in a forum somewhere where it is 100's of those sites (the script we talk of here) have closed, way over 300 so far and saw some people posting some angry things about getting one and paying out 1000's in the end for it. Not sure why you would, now the cat is out of the bag.
  8. Eyeballs see your ad anyway though... ....IF the list is still alive and isnt replicated to death (same script oversold 400 times for greed) to have to do that. Seriously I have abandoned almost all the safelist sites that do that because I (personally) dont have time to click 9 times first on numerous sites, just to send to the same small group of people anyway. (I talk of a particuliar camp) I have one recently created safelist that does that and that is because of special circumstances, and its not to force ctr. But I guess it is up to whoever has time to do that before they send out their ads who. But eyeballs see your ad anyway on any safelist though, they have to click to gain their send later on.
  9. Awww I didn't know you two got permanently banned But like said above, there are so many other processors now. ...I've been studying the crypto lately and I really really think it is still at it's infancy, so alot more will be coming through that way!
  10. Never used it and everytime I see it's name, I always think of some wild animal screeching or something close to that word - dont know why
  11. Nerdbux was never sold, it was given away to Jeffery Johnson apparently - money due and all.
  12. He never lost his Paypal account like some people did. Or alot of people did. Honestly, he just had to take it OFF one site. I had to take it off several sites (and keep it off them still to this day) that they listed to me. But after taking it off, they lift the restriction almost immediately, and then you can resume normally like sending payments or receiving payments.
  13. This makes no sense. Safelists (new or old versions) have always been credit based, from the get go. Safelist and Mailer is the very SAME thing anyway. I've owned them since year 2000, or before, and mostly known for that realm. As for email addresses - Mine always ask for one email address from the start, so it is not nothing new at all. Those who ask for a contact email (new or old), they really want to email you separate from the list mail (like admin updates or a push on something) and/or they sell "solo" ads (incorrect definition) to send an email to the contact emails. Around 2009 they started to be more common to also be called mailers. In which I called and bought domain names for both words, as it is the SAME thing. But then around 2010, a script started to be oversold to death and they called it viral mailer. - They are an incorrect description as it is not viral. Anyway, old safelists have always asked for one or two, and have always been credit based.
  14. Bit and Ether are good. Cant believe how much Bit took off and now Ether, but I'm personally after the Litecoins
  15. Steve Shapiro ...that's nonsense about a safelist being a 'total ripoff', and that's not what I hear from people. And... what in the world? "regard them as spam". So if you put yourself on someone's safelist, waste resources and just regard them as spam? Spam is when someone grabs your email from anywhere on the net and then sends you ads. That is what spam is. The owner of this forum owns safelist(s) also BTW.
  16. I'm glad you like it ! ! That site wont go anywhere
  17. oh, like I said to you earlier, that site I wont change/redo/close/ move, people like it alot for some reason. It's old & rickety and eyeballed it 3 yrs ago to do something to it but no, saw its activity and continued growth so I dont dare do anything to that one haha
  18. "and was threatening members who had not logged in since some date in 2015, that he would delete their accounts, upgraded or not." ...things have really gone downhill for awhile now... several years now. .....I can not believe some people would even stay after an unprofessional email was sent. Some or almost ALL people who start online as affiliates ..should... STAY... as... affiliates of sites.... and not buy some replicated thing and become 'owners' and run amok with no payouts, weird rules, weird emails, shunning, etc etc etc etc. This is a hard biz, and harder to last past a few years, and behaviour like that - will knock you out alot faster though. lmao... I'm trying to imagine if I sent out email like that to members.
  19. They block emails, always have and always will - hotmail, msn, live
  20. Thank you and .....lol I wrote that when I just woke up, missing some words there! Yes, a long time. Entering my 20th year now and yahoo and hotmail hasnt changed at all
  21. It's not because it makes the database look pretty with a list of gmail addresses listed. It costs an enormous amount of server juice to send email to a bunch of these: yahoo, hotmail, msn, live.com, gmx, avg?, yandex, comcast, aol, and many many others that like to get you to signup to sell to you (it's not some favor).... but then block your emails without you know it. I even signed agreements with hotmail to allow email ads, but nooooooooooo they allow it for a couple days and then they still do it. On the owner side, it bounces back to us. Repeatedly into the hundreds or so, and it keeps trying to email those again and again. Using more server juice. Then we go buy an even more expensive server, just to handle it. I think its now to the point they NEVER let the emails though unless you send like, 50 a month. Why should we keep spending more and more money (into the 100's a month) because of people not wanting to use an email address that doesnt torment the server and monthly bill? I am very close on insisting the use of gmail on my sites because I already pay over 500 a month and not willing to pay more just to accommadate the use of these free email boxes doing this underhanded stuff.
  22. It's not true for all mailers (safelists). It depends on the programming done in it. If a replicated script (sold script to many sites) if one does it they all most likely do it on all the sites with that script. On almost all of my sites you can use apostrophe's and quotation marks, even glyphs in the subject line. It's very simple on the programming side to be able to do it, but you have to know how, and its not some sort of security issue at all if you know what to do to combat the hacker beasts. BTW personalization is just a code word. Like you can put Hi [bUNNY] and behind the scenes it grabs the name, if the site tells you to use BUNNY. You dont even need brackets even, you just have to not assume every site uses the same code words. Its whatever a site wants to use. Personalization is not the same everywhere, its not some Universal thing I mean. I see members put Hi [Firstname] on ads and my scripting ignores it because its just a code word for another site. It would not work unless the specific site says to use it.
  23. John was gone on vacation until a few days ago, in new orleans
  24. "Prediction: The next installment of this adventure will include them saying that this was all a planned marketing technique to drum up controversy and get people talking with a "See, it worked. Now everyone's talking about us." I'm sure the spin doctors are working on it now. Grabbing my popcorn, or should I grab a violin & some cash?" Being hated or talked about (controversial) only works if it's not past a certain degree. From what I have been reading in forums, it has gone way past that ...so it wouldn't work.
