  1. "When I hear somebody sigh, 'Life is hard,' I am always tempted to ask, 'Compared to what?" [sydney Harris]
  2. I'm surprised there has not been a discussion of Marianne Meyers (sp?) #1ProfitRing. Or maybe I missed it somewhere else. I think she has a fantastic idea with her take on using a webring to promote your site.
  3. "Life is 10% what happens to us and 90% how we react to it." - [Dennis P. Kimbro]
  4. I use Chrome, Firefox & IE. It seems they all have their place. IE seems to be the most strict, but will let me transfer/copy most graphics problem free. Chrome appears to be the fastest (I use this the most), but it will not work as well on some sites as Firefox. Firefox is a real gem and I respect what the owner has done. I am happy to send him a donation every year.
  5. "If you keep saying things are going to be bad, you have a chance of being a prophet." - [isaac B. Singer]
  6. Not to give advice unless it is asked for. To become a better listener.
  7. Enjoy life... it has an expiration date! ! ! (unknown to me]
  8. I have always used a combination of free and paid advertising. They both work. Free is more time-consuming. Paid depends on your marketing budget. I just found an affiliate program that let's you pay for ads (very reasonable) or sponsor people and use your commissions to pay for advertising or keep your commissions. They have Over 95,000 Affiliates. Does that tell you anything? http://instanttrafficgeneration.com/links/16727
  9. We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them. [Albert Einstein]
  10. The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing. [socrates]
  11. When you are using TEs or safelists for your ads, do you include the recipients first name when offered a choice e.g. [first_name] ??? I used to do that a long time ago, but got out of the habit. I still see a lot of folks using that technique and I wonder if it increases their sales?
  12. "One reason so few of us achieve what we truly want is that we never direct our focus; we never concentrate our power. Most people dabble their way through life, never deciding to master anything in particular." [Tony Robbins]

If people are scared away by my boldness, they are not my audience either. If people are scared away by my avatar, they are not my audience either. If people are scared away by my emails, they are not my audience either. Well said. Reminds me of my father. He was bald. When people would come into his drugstore and try to tease him about being bald, he would say: "I figure God gave us a certain amount of hormones and I didn't want to waste mine growing hair"!
  14. Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it. [Charles R. Swindoll]
  15. That's my real picture. As far as using avatars; I'm a little ambivalent about that. I would love to see the persons real picture, but there may be circumstances that prevent the user from posting a picture. For example, what if the member has severe burns or some other disfigurement. THey may be hiding for a good reason.
  16. I am 76 years old and although that is not too old to start a business I do not wish to put in the necessary time to do it right. I am perfectly happy piggy-backing onto other admins affiliate programs. But, even that requires some checking so that you do not waste your time. See my blog: http://emotions-are-stronger-than-intellect.blogspot.com
  17. Every time I sponsor a new member in any program I am motivated to keep going. You have to admit that when someone joins your program you get excited.
  18. I joined a while back. It can be very addicting. Once I realized it was a scam I asked paypal to go after them. After that, they deleted me I have not heard from them since then.
  19. "How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world." [ Anne Frank ]
  20. I like both names + an email address. I get upset when I do all the work - sponsor 40 people and only the admin has the email. I want to send a personal welcome to all new people and offer to help them as needed.
  21. “No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.” [Eleanor Roosevelt]
  22. “If you want happiness for an hour — take a nap. If you want happiness for a day — go fishing. If you want happiness for a year — inherit a fortune. If you want happiness for a lifetime — help someone else.” Chinese Proverb
  23. I have to admit that Gorilla Marketing is an interesting site. I joined a few weeks ago and have sponsored a bunch of people. I really like it when the admin/owner shows the email addresses of the people you sponsor. I always send a welcome message and offer to help my new downline. But, there is a nagging question in the back of my mind. Is it really in the Beta Testing phase? Or, is it just a clever way to get people to sign up for free??????
  24. I have been using safe lists for years and now I have added many viral mailers. I do not see any difference. I don't care what you call them. If you are getting results, then keep doing it
