I play competitive ping pong, sing in an a cappella quartet, read, belong to a book club, movie group, pinochle group, go to local performing arts shows and I am tearing out my lawn and replacing it with drought-tolerant plants. I won't bore you with the honey-do list. I use the computer and on-line programs to escape from all the other activities. Now, to answer your question about motivation. That's easy. Self hypnosis.

Is there already another online company that does what paypal does, but is affiliate-friendly?

I need help in getting quality traffic
market101 replied to rpsmith's topic in Techniques & Strategies
Safelists, Traffic Exchanges and Viral Mailers are the way to go. If you have a few bucks you can purchase leads. -
I like the idea of the newsletter coming to this site. I already receive too many emails.

Greg - Why didn't you post your affiliate link?

Hi Tracy, First of all. Don't give up. It takes a while to find a program that you are really excited about. Then keep on advertising your program in as many different places as you can. Change the subject line periodically. Keep looking for new places to advertise. One of my favorite places to advertise is right here at MarketingCheckpoint. I just earned $37 from 1 person upgrading in a program called OutlawMailer. http://outlawmailer.com/splashpage.php?id=1478 Good Luck Martin

It's a nice simple site. Might be more effective if you made people aware of any free credits available for joining.

Use safelists from mobile devices?
market101 replied to Darren Olander's topic in Safelists, Mailers, Autoresponders
I only use my mobile for news, phone calls and of course texting the grandkids I prefer my desktop for biz. When I am out in the community, I would rather be interacting with real people instead of wasting my time playing games. I still can't believe how many people I see texting while they're driving. -
HTML mailer problem - any advice?
market101 replied to Joel's topic in Safelists, Mailers, Autoresponders
It would be great if all sites let you see what your HTML ad looks like before you hit send. I wrote to one admin and asked her if my HTML code was actually being delivered in some readable format. She said yes - not to worry. OK. I will keep sending my ads with an HTML format where applicable, because I believe that people respond more often to colorful information than to plain old text ads. -
Let's talk about safelist sites!
market101 replied to paulserban's topic in Safelists, Mailers, Autoresponders
I like safelists and mailers. Is there a difference? I see some people using the terms interchangeably. Anyway, I just finished Darren's e-book on list building (fabulous read). I also joined him in a new endeavor called 'Really Simple System'. Check it out: http://reallysimplesystem.com/dap/a/?a=3260 As you might have guessed, Darren is a great upline. -
I am. My info has been all over the internet for years. I decided to buy a little protection for me and my wife and signed up for LifeLock.

I like Firefox, but it seems so slow compared with Chrome that I find myself using Chrome more and more ...

I have been doing it with images. I think videos are too time-consuming for a lot of people.

old buddy said: "I never said it was safe if you read the rest of my comment. However, your comparison with the Pentagon is a little far fetched, since hackers have far more to gain by hacking them than getting my information from a Cloud server. As much as hacking events are publicized, I still think they are insignificant to my personal safety. At least I am not going to live my life in fear because the potential is ever present." I never said or even thought you believed it was safe. My Pentagon example was just that 'an example'. You are reading far too much into my statement.

old buddy suggested reading about the cloud here: http://mycloudhelp.b...ition-of-cloud/. It's a good explanation of what it is and how it is used. However, it does not answer my concern about safety. I'm concerned that people think their info is totally safe and I do not believe that is the case. If hackers can get into the Pentagon and other government agencies, I'm guessing that hacking into various cloud-based servers would be "a piece of cake"!

So, you're saying it can be hacked?

I still have trouble believing that Payza could not find a way to transfer funds to the U.S. for 2 years. And then starting us out again at 0 usd was absolutely unconscionable! Payza sucks! I will never give them any $ again. On a positive note, I have never had a problem with PayPal.

ANSGAR said, "A MLM in which the average member gets only 1 referral per month will have signed up every human being on this planet in less than than 3 years...." I used to hear that a lot. You need to have a sense of humor about these things and try not to get overwhelmed. When people use the "SATURATED" argument with me, I say: "Are you getting in"? If they say "NO", I respond - "Then it won't be saturated".
-
I assume you said that with 'tongue in cheek' about all of us being rich. Not going to happen. Rudi has lots of great suggestions. I'll bet he is a great upline. I have been in MLM for over 20 years. There are a huge number of issues to tackle - not enough time for this forum, so I'll just mention one issue. FEAR! Quite a few people are afraid of rejection. After they get turned down a few times they give up. However, some of them can become good distributors if you can get to them before they quit. They need to be taught that their prospects are rejecting the opportunity - NOT THEM! Also, if you are the sponsor you need to work more than one level deep. Well, I'm getting off-track here. Let me just say that fear of rejection is the most difficult part of MLM. Is it worth overcoming that fear? YES!

Everyone seem all excited about cloud technology. I'm wondering how safe it is????? Can it be hacked?

Robert has a lot of great advice and so do a lot of other people, but one thing keeps being over-looked - longevity. How old is the MLM in question? Does it have staying power? If it is an older one, like Amway, is it still growing? Of course your marketing techniques are a huge plus, but so are the products. Do people need them? Will they use them and then re-order? Is the company world-wide and do they have a good track record? There are many things to consider. One of the main things is how hard you are willing to work. I have made a lot of money with MLM, but I have to tell you, it is one of the hardest things you'll ever do! Prosperous regards, Martin

Thank you Robert. That was very helpful.

Paid Members Only Safelist ?
market101 replied to Jasond188's topic in Safelists, Mailers, Autoresponders
To me, a ponzi scheme is when people have to pay a monthly fee to remain active and the owner/originator takes some of the $ and pays out commissions. The recipients do not get anything for their $ except the possibility of earning more $. I know there are other types of schemes. If I remember correctly, this discussion started out about TennerList. So far, it's viable and growing. There is a free 7-day trial period. There was a 1-time pmt. for those who wish to upgrade. The full pmt goes to the sponsor. People are allowed to advertise to other members. I don't know how long this list will last. None of us does. We all know that there are a huge number of schemes out there. We try to pick programs that seem honest and have little or no risk. As long as TennerList continues to pay me, I will continue to advertise it. -

Way to go Jason. I love it when Admins follow through on their promises.
