I have not heard of it, but if you get that many visitors for so little it sounds questionable.

Is AdTroopers having server issues?
Darren Olander replied to Joel's topic in Safelists, Mailers, Autoresponders
I've been having trouble accessing the site too... too slow to get anything done. -
I think udimi is excellent. There is a risk with buying a solo from someone directly (and not through udimi), especially if you don't have your own click fraud detection, some would send you fake traffic or very low quality traffic. With udimi the funds are held until all the clicks you ordered are delivered, and there are basic filters as well as extra filters you can choose depending on what you want. The pricing can range a lot. I wouldn't buy from someone who is too cheap, like 30 cents or lower per click, I've found that those are not high quality clicks and probably does not include a buyers list. So what you can ask a seller is.. does this include your buyers list? What I mean is some sellers segment their list and then sell only solos to their non-buyers. They wouldn't tell you this upfront so you need to ask. Another important thing is to look at the reviews, if people say they are getting SALES that is a very good sign. Buying solos is more expensive than safelist advertising because with a solo you are paying per click and once those clicks are delivered your campaign is over unless you buy more. With safelists you can buy a monthly/annual membership and mail many times per month, and if you have good email copy and landing page then you should be getting some optins here and there from each send. With safelists you just need to be consistent by mailing to as many as you can as often as you can. Two different beasts, both good options for advertising.

Oh My Gosh Build My Downlines is AMAZING!
Darren Olander replied to KarriDaltonHull's topic in Commons
I'm happy to see you so excited to use it! It's a site I've continued to improve over time as I try to do with all of my sites - hope it works out great for you -
Expired credit links before their time?
Darren Olander replied to Joel's topic in Safelists, Mailers, Autoresponders
A couple people have complained about this on my sites I must admit.. I'll have a chat with my programmer to see what we can do about it, but yea it's based on server time when the message was sent. The problem is in how much data you are storing, that's a lot of messages to store so you want to delete those from the database eventually.. the volume and amount of time you can hold on to that much data without slowing down the database (you know how the timer reaches 0 on some sites but you have to wait for it to do anything? It's probably because their db is getting large and clunky) is the question.. so it's a technical hurdle. -
Traffic Swirl - trafficswirl.com
Darren Olander replied to KarriDaltonHull's topic in Program Threads
If you log out and back in, is the error gone? I think it might show to people who just registered but haven't logged in manually yet. -
Traffic Swirl - trafficswirl.com
Darren Olander replied to KarriDaltonHull's topic in Program Threads
That sucks you are having problems with that part of Traffic Swirl. I'm sure John appreciates any feedback as he tries to improve his sites for his members. Are you familiar with my site BuildMyDownlines.com? It sounds to me like it is doing almost the same thing, except BuildMyDownlines focuses purely on rewarding people to join you in specific programs (not different tasks). Take a look and let me know. Thanks. -
Mailer Scripts and How-To Info?
Darren Olander replied to Steve Jones's topic in Safelists, Mailers, Autoresponders
Unfortunately there aren't really many good options for scripts at the moment. LFMVM is the one to go with. As for owner training, I don't think anyone has done that either.. but mailers aren't too hard to manage once you get it set up.. the most important thing is that you dedicate yourself to advertising it and really growing the membership. Without new members coming in you will struggle, and you can't rely on affiliates to promote it.- 7 replies

Question about advertising sites
Darren Olander replied to QueenMaa's topic in Safelists, Mailers, Autoresponders
QueenMaa, do they support integrating any autoresponder? If so, why wouldn't you use mailchimp again? You should be able to set up multiple different lists in your mailchimp, one for each of these sites. -
I'm glad you got it sorted quickly. Most hosts will be a nightmare for a safelist for at least a couple reasons: They will limit how much mails you can send per hour, preventing your site from doing its basic need of sending mail. At the slightest spam complaint they might suspend you or decide to stop hosting you.If you want a successful site you don't want to be dealing with that, and it's just the way it is because most hosts are not familiar with safelists. If you are hosting with someone who DOES understand safelists then these are no longer worries... now I don't host with Chris since my demands are a bit different, but from my experience with him he has excellent customer support so if you ever have a technical problem he can patch you up quickly... if you are hosting with a regular company like blue-host or hostgator their support will not give you such personal attention. Hope that helps!

Thanks Garrett, I've added a Poll to this topic, you will see it at the top.

In need of solid advice
Darren Olander replied to Joel's topic in Safelists, Mailers, Autoresponders
I have a video I created which shows what I do with safelists: http://adchiever.com/blog/dominate-listbuilders/ For the most part, even though these are free you need to either spend a lot of time earning credits or some money to save you some time.. but you want to be consistent and be seen repeatedly by the other members, it will increase your results. -
They would go to your registered email address. I have not put them on the site, that is something I could do if enough people are interested, but it is a pretty simple newsletter - just lists the popular new topics for the week

I've used OptimizePress for some of mine (works on Wordpress), unfortunately they don't have too many templates though.

Hi Lowell, you can read the rules here. If you are not trying to advertise something and instead provide value, then it is likely allowed. Just make sure you are providing valuable content.

Do you collect the name?
Darren Olander replied to Darren Olander's topic in Safelists, Mailers, Autoresponders
You can do that through a solo anywhere, you just need to put two different landing pages in a rotator where each landing page has a different web form. Yea if one has come up with a way to get the rest of the info later that is useful. -
Do you send your ads in color?
Darren Olander replied to market101's topic in Techniques & Strategies
For sites that allow html yea it makes sense that it would be best to do something that will stand out... Personally I haven't been doing it besides maybe bolding text or making it larger, but I plan to start doing more with it. -
What is the most you've ever spent on a training course, and was it worth it? When I first got started I spent about 1k or so on the butterfly marketing course and that gave me an incredible boost to my income due to what I was able to do and learned from it... so that was totally worth it. Recently I've spent $2,500 on a course but it's in progress so we'll see how that goes. Sure, you can find a lot of information free, but I think investing to learn from the right people and learn some things that might not be readily available is also important... agree?

Most marketers now are advising to NOT use the name field to collect when trying to get someone to join your list, because the more fields you have someone to fill out the lower the conversions will be. This means to get the highest conversions on your form is to ONLY use the email field. Do you like to know the names of the people on your list, or are you just collecting the email? Do you feel most people have figured it out that if they see their name in an email that it was automatically put there and it's not really personal?

Wow, they've been around forever, I didn't know they still existed - looks like they are doing well.

There will now be a weekly newsletter sent to your email address every Monday to highlight the top topics for the previous week. The first one was sent out today. This is an opportunity to get your high quality content broadcasted for all to see
