  1. Thanks, William. You've given me a lot to think about! I especially like what you said about making unique splash pages
  2. I use trck me. http://trck.me/191877
  3. Ok, so I've been milling about the IM scene for a good 6 months now. I've learned much of the lingo & could probably repeat half of it back & almost sound convincing... but I really don't know how to best use that information. When it comes to advertising I know there are pay to click ads, upgraded memberships at safelists/TE's/TAE's that can garner you advertising, free accounts.. you can blog, employ SEO. I haven't even begun to put half of that to use yet, but what stands out most to me is something I've picked up on in the last few months & that is those who have the ability to make the information they are sharing with their friends go viral. Something informational/cute/beautiful that can be shared & that includes information that will lead recipients right back to them or their offer. Does anyone have any experience with the different ways of attracting qualified leads to your offer that they can share with us newbies. Perhaps how we can use Safelists more effectively as well... meaning, for instance, how to best incorporate the use of safelists into other marketing methods such as blogging, Twitter, Facebook...
  4. Wow, William. Great information! I didn't know you could customize Bit.ly links. I have a few links saved there but don't use them much. I love the added mispelling/SEO advice you gave as well... I think that is more valuable than people will know... hope they use that advice.
  5. I agree with Anna! I don't wait for the membership levels to get high. If I see lots of people promoting a site, lots of ads out for a site...and the membership number is low... I still sign up & advertise there & usually with better/equal results than from the huge, dormant safelists. Not only that, but if you also look at a safelist from an income stream standpoint & not just advertising... You want to become a member of a list that is obviously going to be popular so that you can get those sign-ups under you before everyone else!
  6. Oops, sorry...we must have made our last posts at around the same time because I'm just now seeing the link you posted. I will check it out - thank you!
  7. Bingo, Robert! I agree with everything you just said. It does seem that, no matter what, if it's a new site that is very actively recruiting new members, it's a good bet it will be responsive for a while. And that's next on my to-do list, learning how to catch someones attention with my subject line, reel them in & convert them
  8. Oddly enough, I am getting huge clickthrough at a very unexpected site where I took the lifetime upgrade, which I think I got for around $20 for so. It's called Galaxy Mailz and my clickthrough rate has been very high, so far. Though it seems that as the membership grows the clickthrough rate is going down. My chart is below. Here is a link to Galaxy: http://trck.me/192904 and I'm also getting very good clickthrough rates at Puffin Mailer (Dan Moses) http://trck.me/192905. The three sites I hear about being super responsive, over & over again are List Joe, Bweeble & List Nerds... and as a free member at those sites, I've had a pretty good response as well, but their upgrades are still a little too steep for me, at this stage of the game... 9. I upgraded to Gold at Herculist about 6 months ago, but didn't really start to use it daily until this week. So far, I agree with Sean... the price is not bad at all...but would expect a little more for them having so many members...
  10. Hey, I've heard of them before! Yeah, they're pretty handy!
