  1. As the old saying goes: "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is." Caution is always good. Have a grand day, John.
  2. Ah, I think I have found it. It appear to be a pop-under that starts when I close Chrome and, as my standard browser is Firefox, it pops up there. Strange...
  3. Is there a single place where people can register scams so that it is easier to find out what to avoid? Best regards and looking forward to hearing from you soon, John.
  4. Let me but in here. I think life is too short to end up doing something that you do not enjoy. Work has to be fun. I gave up the stress of consultancy for lecturing in a university and have never looked back. I just love to see it when something that I say producing the "penny's dropped" moment. You can see it in their eyes. So, get out of that job you just hate and do something you love... The man has spoken (smile).
  5. There are a lot of new sites springing up at the moment. Looks like everyone and his dog is doing it. Any other sites that we should be careful of? What about the one from India that is being promoted all over the place? Best regards and looking forward to hearing from you soon, John.
  6. Hi Darren, I am using Vista and I can't see Firefox in the startup folder. I suppose some clever-clogs has hidden it where I can't see it. I must have clicked on a link or something to allow him/her to do it. Bother... Any idea where I can look or how I can see hidden files? I am not very good at this (smile). Best regards and looking forward to hearing from you soon, John.
  7. Well, it is still happening and getting quite annoying (smile). Has anyone out there got any idea of what might cause it? Best regards and looking forward to hearing from you soon, John.
  8. Is empowernetwork still alive? I have not seen much about it recently. Best regards and looking forward to hearing from you soon, John.
  9. Hi there and thanks for your reply. Maybe I didn't explain myself very well. I will try again... The problem is that I am not opening Firefox myself - it opens up all by itself shortly after I start up the PC. I can click it away, but I really want to find out how I can stop it starting up without me. Any ideas? Best regards and looking forward to hearing from you soon, John.
  10. Hi there! Every time I start my computer Firefox starts with a site somebody is promoting. I don't have Firefox in the register with the other things that start when I switch on my computer. Anyone know how this is happening? Best regards and looking forward to hearing from you soon, John.
  11. Are there legitimate secret shoppers or are they all scams? has anyone got experience of earning anything this way? Best regards, John.
  12. It is always good to hear about services that do not live up to their promises. I will be sure to post anything that I find that I think is a bit suspect. Best regards, John,
  13. Thank you all for sharing. Who said, "If it seems too good to be true, it probably is."?? I know you can't always be sure, but there are lots of signals. If you have won something and you haven't entered a competition - if you are asked to pass a cheque through your account and send money on (the authorities love this types of money laundering and will jump on you eventually) - if anything smells a bit fishy, it probably is and it is best to leave it alone. That is my two-pennies' worth (smile). Have a good one, John.
  14. Some people just poke around at MLM and, when they don't become instant millionaires, they give up. Amongst the many attributes you need here is persistence (smile). have a good one, John.
  15. It is interesting how it sucks you in. You start doing an hour or two each day and then you realise that you have given up watching TV to make room for three or four or more hours. One has to be careful not to start ignoring the near and dear ones. it is almost like a drug. Well, that is my experience. Anyone agree? Best regards, John.
  16. Hi there! I am sorry, but I just don't see the problem with Payza. Could someone please outline what they have had for difficulties in case it hits us over here in Germany? Best regards and looking forward to hearing from you soon, John.
  17. Well, I thought the one about Payza was quite important. After all, most of us use Internet banking and if there is a problem with one of them, we should be discussing it. However, there needs to be a real problem and not just someone with a bee in their bonnet (smile). Come on you lot... Let's hear some more from you. Best regards and looking forward to hearing from you soon, John.
  18. Well that is strange. I know I live in Germany and it might be different, but I requested a sum to be transferred to my German bank account on Monday and it is already in my account. I am sorry that people are having trouble. However, it appears to working OK for me. Is it still a problem in other parts of the world? Best regards and looking forward to hearing from you soon, John.
  19. I remember when I did a distance learning MBA course, the first thing they taught us was time management. I was surprised at how much time you can find in a day using commuting time effectively and not watching so much trash on the TV. It was certainly an eye-opener. Have a grand start to the week, John.
  20. Hi Darren, Thanks for explaining that. Some people need to be told how it works. Have a grand one, John.
  21. So, is the answer to go to a domain registration company to ensure the domain is yours and then choose a hosting company separately? Would that make it easier to move, should the hosting company not come up to scratch? I await your responses, John.
  22. This happens to me sometime, too, so I am really interested in hearing anyone who has a solution. Best regards, John.
  23. OK, I can see that I cannot compete with some of you. However, I do try to make the limited hours that I am online to be as effective as possible, a mixture of surfing, posting and learning. Keep on trucking, John.
  24. Hi! I am in a number of MLMs, but concentrate on DHS as it has great training. I use what I learn there also for my other projects.
  25. I have ramped-up my time on-line over the past few weeks and it is starting to show results. I now do around 5 hours per day. It is not too tedious, although I have to get myself out of bed a bit earlier to accommodate it (smile). Best regards, John.
