Garrett Hutsko
I am a fan of Ad Troopers at least as they were, now I am not so sure. I have my Admiral status but I got it almost 4 years ago, nowadays it seems to be expensive. They do have a membership of more than 15,000 but this blocked word problem makes mailings a problem. I have wasted as much as 30 minutes trying to get a subject that works with their blocked word process and that makes them a big problem in my promotion process. They are not responsive with their membership which makes them a problem in the promotion process. I just wish they would listen and fix the blocked word process. I find myself avoiding sites which use this type of processing, I think they are shooting themselves in the foot with this process.

My guess is, they may have 15K, but maybe 2000 are active???They need to clean their list up! paulserban
Guys, is adtroopers the best LFMVM mailer these days ?Is very hard to say which safelist is the best. There are a lot with good results, it depends on the criterion according to which do the classification. paulserban
Still appear safelist mailers with a tab at a time and 1 credit per link. The best method to fix rules is to do surf as a free member, if you like it, than is OK! paulserban
Why a lot of people is so amazing by CTR of a mailer?I noticed that if there are fewer members the CTR is greater. The same case when the credits for a click is lower.Look to Highctrmailer: there are some people there and for a click you have 1 (one!) point. Darren Olander
Why a lot of people is so amazing by CTR of a mailer?I noticed that if there are fewer members the CTR is greater. The same case when the credits for a click is lower.Look to Highctrmailer: there are some people there and for a click you have 1 (one!) point. CTR is naturally higher at new sites because they are all new, mostly active members. Even a month later a lot of those members will no longer be active and the CTR drops.. so long term is what really matters. If you're purchasing an upgrade I would guess you're interested in advertising there for a long period and still getting results many months later... very few safelists unfortunately can keep that up. I think if you're giving few too credits people will get discouraged and move on to somewhere else, so you have to have a happy balance to give enough credits but not too much that there is no reason to read very many. Garrett Hutsko
I received emails from some Safelists which are getting ready to close soon. The problem being according to the emails no one is joining/upgrading in them, Apparently interest isn't there for these sites. I personally am not happy with this decision but I do understand. It seems that some of the Safelists out there just don't have that special something that is needed to keep them going strong. There are sites that have a large membership and sites that are struggling. There are new startup Safelists which seem to be interested in making a quick return on investment then they shut down taking the quick cash, I just wish these could be ID'ed upfront. I wish it was easy to ID the Safelists which will hang in there for a long time. I think the ones that have a large membership have discovered whatever is needed to be great the others just linger long enough to take the money and run. John Lederer
Many list sizes are inflated. For example, if a site claims 100k list you can mail to, I would bet that 90% of that list is inactive and will never even look at the email. I can speak for myself that my sites are constantly scrubbed, so you ONLY send to a list that has a RECENT history of reading and clicking on mails. Anyone who is not reading we stop sending them mails, so as an advertiser you get the most value. Some other lists clean up their member sizes as well so you aren't sending to "dead" prospects, but there are quite a few that will claim the higher numbers just to look good and as a result youwill receive a very low CTR because those people just aren't reading the email.I totally AGREE Darren! Garrett Hutsko
Does anybody know what it is with the site: http://www.worldprofitassociates.com/, because I signed up, and I have not received any confirmation email? Is a scam, a trick, or they collect emails to sell further?Often their emails are moved to Spam buckets by the mail readers. You should be using a gmail account and set up filters for anything you are expecting to receive. i take all my spam stuff and put it back into the inbox then I delete what I don't want, I don't trust what they mark as spam and often find stuff that would have otherwise been trashed. market101
I like safelists and mailers. Is there a difference? I see some people using the terms interchangeably. Anyway, I just finished Darren's e-book on list building (fabulous read). I also joined him in a new endeavor called 'Really Simple System'. paulserban
I saw a lot of people who send a message several times with the same title. If Google is not set correctly, then these messages will be combined into one, and thus the effectiveness of these messages may be lost.So... we should at least change the message title. Diane Mumm
Of course! This forum is about voicing opinions One thing I don't like? Sites that force upgraded members to read mail each day before they are allowed to send their ad.Darren, I used to feel the same but once I became a owner I now feel it is important to have members , all members read mails.. even if it is just a few mails.... You will have a much more views to your ads when done this way. Afterall that is what we want is eyeballs to see our ads, this helps increase the percentage and it is working on my mailer, at least I feel it is.. I don't mind doing this at other mailers anymore as long as I am getting results.. Diane Glen Palo 1 Quote Anything is possible if you are consistent and put yourself out there.. Diane Mumm
As a owner now of a viral mailer , I now know and understand both sides of marketing on safelists. As in being a member and being a owner.. I now understand the viral mailing system and there is a lot that can be improved. I believe and sincerely wish all owners would clean their list.. If you say you have 2500 members and only 1-5 are opening something needs done.. It seems like some owners not all are really active at first once them launch then a month or 2 down the road their is no more promotion, meaning no more new members.. then the mailer just slowly dies off.. A good percentage I have found just don't choose to be active.. and this is everywhere .. If the owners would get the inactives out of their mailers the ctr would be much better.. is it that the total subscribed members is what impresses people ,well it doesn't impress me as it usually isn't so.. Numbers are so deceiving when a good percentage isn't even using the mailer regularly.. My mailer member count will never be as high as others, my mailer list is cleaned daily for inactives.. I know how hard and how much time it takes to earn credits.. cause I do it everyday still as a owner.. Members deserve a active list.. Not to be sending to members inboxes that haven't logged in for some time, or never logged in.. thanks for listening,Diane Quote Anything is possible if you are consistent and put yourself out there.. I try to spend time reading my inbox material but it is not easy and I think that deciding to remove someone without sending some kind of message first could be a mistake. My feeling is that one or two weeks is to short a time to use to decide to remove someone from a list. In my processes I try to visit each site I am a member of at least once every 3 to 4 weeks and I do try to read my incoming promos daily, my hope is that this is enough to keep me alive in the SLs I belong to.I get warning emails from some SLs that cause me to visit the site sooner but for the most part I hope this is enough to keep me alive in these sites.I am among those who upgrade after I use the site for awhile and feel it is worth my money. I think that this is a good approach to my use of SLs.

I think that this is a good approach to my use of SLs. Hi Garrett, Owning a mailer has really opened my eyes to really how many do stay active in safelists.. I allow 30 days , if they are not active they are unsubscribed, not removed.. this helps save my members their credits to mailing to inactive members.. and their banners and texts are also on hold this in turn gives the active members way more views.. which again is very fair.. and it is very easy to resubscribe... very good thing to have in place in my opinion.. I have a script installed that takes care of this for me every day.. since I have been a very active member in many mailers I see what is going on and wanted my mailer to be a little different and hopefully more responsive..time will tell the story.. yes I have a 60 day active too I feel that if members haven't logged in or done anything in 60 days they really don't want to be a member.. this may be adjusted as time goes on.. it is stated on my faq page and also in my welcome letter.. I try to do my best to keep my mailer as active as I can.. I would hope most wouldn't want to be using their credits to mail to inactive members.. it is such a waste of time.. I can mail out to the members a warning message, but have found only a small percentage see the email as it gets lost in the list emails.. I don't know all the rights but I do feel what I am doing is working well.. I am still learning and making adjustments to my mailer over time.. I have found there to are many just coming in to click for cash, once they see I don't have it they are gone.. those people are being removed which is good for all active members.. that are using the site for mailing their ads.. I recently increased the mailing to free members which is quite beneficial to them, from mailing to 500 to now 700.. this way maybe they will see the value to mailing to more members, and possibly upgrade... we have surpassed 700 and hope to grow even more in the days to come .. there is a lot that can be improved in a mailer that is for sure.. I am doing the best I can for the longevity of the mailer.. If members don't see promotion by the owner, ctr is bad, or no results they quickly leave.. or give up.. I am working everyday to not let this happen at my mailer.. Owners have different views which is fine ... one thing about it everything within the mailer can be adjusted.. and changed.. running a mailer is not as easy as one might think.. their is a lot of variables to how they work .. I am still learning! Quote Anything is possible if you are consistent and put yourself out there..
