  1. Mailers work very well...if not slightly better than traffic exchanges. It's wise to use both in conjunction with the rest of your marketing, though. But while safelist mailers work not all are created equal - so how would one know this? We ought to track our use of mailers so that we know which ones are "hot" for a particular week (or month for that matter). I always track my safelist activity over the course of time. This way I can get a good click through rate average. Then afterwards I focus more on the ones that are giving me acceptable CTRs, and ease up on the ones that are not. Tracking is vital for all forms of advertising... Safelists should be no different. The NUMBER ONE REASON why I like to use safelist mailers is the ability for the reader to come back to the email I sent. Not quite the long term residual traffic like a blog or video, but there is some residual effect to it. It's a great feeling knowing you sent out a safelist email ad on the 2nd of a month and someone reads the ad a week or two later.
  2. Smalpani7, Simply put...you need an effective sales funnel. This way you don't have to promote all 200 TEs that you've joined - you just promote the funnel. Make an enthusiastic effort (daily) to "fill your funnel" and over time your referral base expands. Nothing new about it but the plan is quite ingenious.
  3. Marsha, That drop down that you see after clicking are referred to as List Ads. I have not used many traffic exchanges with that particular feature, but it is an excellent way to build your list. If you're fairly adept with HTML code you should make good use of those list ads. They provide the prospect with a quick way to sign up for a list minus having to actually view a landing and/or squeeze page. I would also like to add that you made a GREAT choice in spending your ad dollars with Tezzak Traffic Power. I first used them back in 2009 and will admit that I wasn't immediately taken by the service. I only recently began to fully appreciate the quality of traffic exchange it is! TTP is routinely ranked in the top 5 traffic exchanges in the world, and the administrators certainly aren't selfish when it comes to rewarding their members. My tips... Use TTP consistently (daily if possible).Open their admin emails when they send them. Goodies!Never skip the bonus pages as you surf.Channel your ad efforts to ONE squeeze page.Take the time to plug in their daily promo code. Also, get used to your Tezzak Traffic Power affiliate link as they belong to MANY downline builders. It would be wise to plug in your TTP affiliate username in all your downline builders. Feel proud...you chose one of the best to advertise in.
  4. Not necessarily. At times when I chose not to pay for a squeeze, splash, or landing page I have relied on Weebly for years. You can have a free account there and make your own page to generate leads or interest in whatever product you choose. It's very user friendly (mainly a drag and drop) system, and you can even copy then paste your optin form code with ease. Also, if you're patient enough to peruse their many website templates you may find some that will not display the Weebly branding anywhere on the page. The caveat with free accounts is you will be limited on how many sites you can create. Try it, though. It's worth it!
  5. An excellent tool to beef up your results in traffic exchanges. If you're using Traffic Browser on a system with a subpar processor it may get those fans running early. Be sure to dump the cache often for a smooth (and cooler) experience.
  6. It certainly works, however, I find that if you go into it with the sole purpose of showing others self-serving links it becomes counter productive. Folk will just simply unfollow. I also found that constructing the right Twitter bio is almost as important as tweeting consistently. Many third party Twitter tools and aggregators will use both hashtags (and keywords) to assist THEIR users in finding you. For example, if your Twitter bio is all about the tourism industry you may want to include popular (and relevant) hashtags in such bio. It may take extensive research in discovering already trendy hashtags, but once it's supplanted in your bio it makes for some good organic traffic...and followers. Don't do what most do and place a vague sentence in the Twitter bio. Don't even attempt to be clever or cute. Let the people know what to expect from YOUR feed, and in the process allow your profile to be found. The hashtag really is powerful.
  7. In what seems to be a medium that most youth (and playful types) are attracted to, Snapchat is now supplanted as the new phenomenon. Do any of you use the social media platform to leverage any of your marketing? If so, could you please share in this thread?
  8. To new members just coming in... You will quickly learn to love this forum. Its simple, and most newbies can (and will) grasp the concept easily.
  9. My main business really is generating leads. As opposed to a particular main business, I promote my sales funnel. But the ultimate goal is to link with those that have similar minds in the form of leads. That particular business can fail (God forbid) and I rather not be a part of that process again. Responsive leads are extremely valuable.
  10. HeHe... This question brings back funny memories of when I was much immature and younger. My first was Xcell...it was a telecom startup from 2000. They actually provided cellular service. I had no idea how to market, much less the tech tools that are out today was not even a concept then. I recall pounding local shopping malls for leads... Wow...
  11. Drop cards, traditional business cards, then word of mouth. The real work will be trying to remember to never leave home without them.
  12. It's necessary, but not for the purposes of the phone feature. I believe that a smart device is necessary...that way you have many helpful apps at your disposal. If and whenever you need to speak to someone, good ol' Skype with a reliable wi-fi connection can help you get many things accomplished in biz.
  13. I try to post hubs on Hubpages and my personal site...maybe 2-3 times each month. But more time should be spent on promoting your old (but evergreen) articles/videos/etc.
  14. It will vary based on several factors...including the time zones. But at the end of the day, no one will know for certain unless you are using some resource to track the click through rates for each safelist. This form of marketing DOES work, though. You want a CTR of 2.8% or above, though. The ones that routinely give you a CTR of 3.9% and above are the ones you want to devote a decent amount of time to...be it earning credits, promoting it, or even investing money (to buy credits). hint: State of the Art Mailer works wonders as it's not your typical safelist.
  15. It's the personable relationships it allows you to build. Others are able to see what you do on a day to day basis and the exemplifies your "human." That form of marketing can pull on the most emotion of consumers/customers.
  16. The answer...EVERYWHERE. If you have not already, please start blogging about your niche. This method can be free...and it will provide you with years of steady traffic. The more you educate other's on your niche, the more targeted traffic the resulting SEO will provide you and your website. Start blogging today
  17. "The most valuable thing that you can make is a mistake - you can't learn anything from being perfect." - Adam Osborne You must take steps of faith in your business endeavors. Invest in your business (and yourself)...scared money doesn't make any.
  18. I use blogs to simply share with others my experiences. Hopefully the mistakes that I've made in my internet marketing journey can be of benefit to someone else. I will also blog a small percentage of rants. Inspirational, most likely. I love the concept of blogging because it gives you a (searchable) home to display your content. When done properly, of course, it could mean for some decent ad revenue.
  19. I gotta go the self hosted Wordpress route. Although, Weebly's templates and features aren't bad. Wordpress has just always been so professional but I would not suggest it to one that's faint of heart. It has a tech learning curve that can easily frustrate.
  20. Well, Jerry, your mailer is just fine. Please keep your product 100% No complaints here! As for the original poster... I'm sorry this had to happen to you but we all "lose" money along our quest for early retirement. It's the nature of the beast, I guess. Maybe this admin really didn't mean ill intent..who knows?? But you can't allow that to be a deterrent. You know you will find a handful of reputable mailers to replace that one with. Godspeed, sir.
  21. I get the best results from Backpage, actually. As long as you space out your postings with 5 minutes in between, you won't get them ghosted. Other than that downfall it's an underrated source for leads. I have yet to find a more efficient classified ad site. ...and yes, I do track the ads for my best performers.
  22. I'm with ya... ALL of my spare time is spent on business. Even when I think I am taking a break I find myself doing SOMETHING to further grow it. To put a number on it I would say that I spend 10 hours a day performing something business related. A lot of this work gets done from a mobile device while I am on the go.
  23. Seems like you need to have that right mixture. Too few messages and they lose you, too many and you scare away subscribers. Sensitive dilemma.
  24. Kenny, Do you think that getting them on the same day runs the risk of losing subscribers?
  25. Hello. How do you all go about tracking the successes (and failures) of your offline marketing materials. I'm referring to the likes of: FlyersBusiness cardsPhone callsVehicle advertisingBulletin boards, ect. This of course is assuming that you do track this form of advertising. Thank you, guys.
