  1. This is a really great compliment coming especially from you Tommie. I won't let you down
  2. Hi Tommie :-) Thank you so much for promoting Harmony Mails!
  3. Actually when the news came to me, it was 2nd hand from a skype room rant, and I was so not surprised that I didn't even bother to ask for details. There's actually so much I could say here regarding my opinions about that whole JV launch scenario, but its probably best not to And yes, I do. I understand you, and admire you, and quite frankly, I feel honored that you responded to me. My feelings toward what has happened with the script since it was first introduced, and a lot of things around it, are probably more similar to yours than you think,
  4. I love questions like this because they get me thinking I am admin in a TE and as you may have read above will own a mailer soon. Results will vary very much depending on the the particular traffic sites you use. The busier ones with an active admin are better, and especially an active admin that is ensuring the promotion of their sites, to keep bringing in new members. I find that i get more views from Traffic Exchanges, but that mailers convert better for me. But I like some TEs for branding and for the social aspect that some of them offer. Once people get to know you, they're more inclined to follow you. Squeeze pages and splash pages work best in TEs because in most, you have to capture the surfer's attention within just a few seconds, since an upgraded member is clicking through sites at a rate of 3 - 6 seconds depending, and most people have at least 5 TEs open side by side or are using traffic browser software to surf. Whereas in a mailer that presents or delivers its member emails properly to members, you get to use your subject and email content to pitch your offer. One mailer view in this condition is worth imo considerably more than a view in a TE. Plus in a mailer, each view per mailing will be unique, whereas in a TE your page will be shown much more often to each member. Except maybe in really big TEs where you'll get more unique views. One credit = one view guaranteed in a TE (provided all that are surfing are human and the site is well maintained without bots). You're also earning credits when you surf, at a different rate to mailers. In a mailer, you're earning a lot more credits per link that you're clicking through. You're smart to use both, because while there are people who are common to both, there are also some surfers who just never read emails and there are email readers who never surf TEs. The more people you can reach with your campaign the better.
  5. I'm logging into Email-hog and this is on the login offer. I just had to bring it over here lol http://www.website-traffic-hog.com/images/hedgehogpeace.jpgKeep It SIMPLE!! From what I've heard, Dan is now "excluded" from opening more sites on this script I appreciate your feedback and advice Maryanne, thank you
  6. I haven't discounted adding the means to read emails on my site. If you read my post previous to my last. It is the subject without the means to see any email body that I won't be adding. Or rather, what I mean is a plugin that lets members open "mails" in that way.
  7. As far as I know, Synergy Traffic is a revenue share site, not so? Not sure that it fits well into the traffic exchange category. It doesn't in my eyes.
  8. Well I wouldn't claim that I'm flying through "mails" if they were freezing my browser Anyway, that particular mod for unread mails isn't from the LFMVM people, it comes from Dan Moses. The LFMVM one requires that members at least view the email content along with the credit link. About my own mailer. Well, I'm not sure how to respond, other than to say that I've been around since the very first one launched, and I've also seen a lot. But I've talked to some of the successful owners who have made it work and I'm confident that I know what I'm getting into, and that I know what I'm doing. The 1000s that people have paid out is for mods. The LFM folks are great sales people lol. There is no mod available for a good site admin though
  9. Some of the old safelists are/were a pain because not all the mails you receive are credit based. Members could send a credit mail and also a non credit email. Its been some time since I used those particular ones, but if I remember correctly, you didn't always know when an email did or didn't have a credit link until you opened it. The benefit though of contact email and list email safelists, is that you can have contact solos come to your main inbox, so you don't overlook them before their credit links expire because they're worth quite a lot in terms of credits. The mailers that Maryanne talks of probably got that nick because they call themselves. "The Viral Mailer Script". I like the script, and will actually open a mailer of my own soon with it, but there are some plugins that I will not be getting. Like the unclaimed credits mod that many of them have. I have concerns over how effective a mailer is, when members can open links from a tab in their member's area, seeing only the subject. In fact, there is a technique to grab a bunch of these links and open them with one click. Like that, I wonder if its more like a Traffic Exchange than a mailer. Sure its fast, and I can fly through a lot of "mails". My own clicking rate is much higher since
  10. Hi Manfred I'm admin in a TE, and one of our members has requested that we add your TE, Thor Hits to our downline builder. Before I do that though, I'd like to ask you how things are going in this site regarding payouts. I'm confused because your member's page says that only $13 has been paid in commissions so far. Aside from commissions that members have surely earned, the information on your sales page talks of cash rewards and cash prizes for surfing, promoting etc, and a low payout level. Thanks in advance
  11. Hi Joe :-) I'm not going to argue with you. I've known and admired you for some time, and I respect your opinion. From my side, I still won't believe John Bell to be a scammer, and I don't believe that the trust and faith that so many people had in him was unfounded. He spent many years proving his worth as an admin. What happened with him and his business must have been devastating to have caused him to throw everything, including his reputation into question. Still, I also will no longer defend him. How can I defend a man, who can no longer even step up in his own defence? Keep well, it was nice to see your post and know that you're still around :-)
  12. Great recommendation I like the TE and co-op a lot.
  13. Site is back up, along with the others by the same owner
  14. Give it time. There could be many reasons for that
  15. I'm actually not so mindful of my reputation as people might think. I'm just myself, and that seems to be okay. My opinions are not always popular, and some people don't like me because of them, but I rather stand by what I believe in, than be a "crowd pleaser". Honesty and integrity come naturally to me.
  16. Yes, I agree, and certainly in that case it doesn't make sense to have such a high minimum, since the only way that members will earn is through sales. This guy has his own tactics though it seems. He brings members in by swapping upgrades with other owners and then running cross reward promos with them. In the case of many Traffic Exchanges though (and some mailers) cash prizes and rewards are available to all members on a daily basis . There are reward codes with cash, prize pages with cash, games etc, and then a minimum payout is reasonable, even up to $20 (though I think between $5 and $10 is better).
  17. I was in one his sites today, Traffic Pirate Hits because of a cross promo arranged with the site where I am admin. What I noticed is this: EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY ALL Members Can Request A Payout Anytime CONDITIONS FOR PAYOUT FREE MEMBERS, CABIN BOY & MATE Commission Balance Minimum $20.00 1st MATE & CAPTAINS Commission Balance Minimum $10.00 Members Responsible To Report Cash Payouts Send Payout Request To Support Desk! Enter Paypal Address In Your Profile! COMMISSION & PRIZE WINS Commissions: earned from Referral Purchases Prizes: Anything Other Than Referral Purchases None, Any Commission but All Cash Prize Wins Must Be Used To Purchase Upgrades/Advertising Look For The Use Commission Icon So, a free member who can earn 5% commission and has a minimum cashout of $20, will need to make sales of $400 and above before requesting payout. I can't say in the case of sites by this owner. My knowledge of what has happened in the past in them, is too limited. However, I can say this. Anyone who is surfing Traffic Exchanges must be aware that some owners can, and do impose such terms, and some even change their terms of payment to their members. They call this "keeping their site/s sustainable".
  18. hmm, interesting. I send ads any time of day normally, but if I'm in competitive mode, like for a referral contest, I save my mailings and build up credits for Sunday, around 4pm my time, which is around 9am EST I think. That just seems to be the best time for results for me.
  19. Thank you all for your replies :-) Yes, I've also seen quite a lot of this type of campaign come and go, but many of them seem to really stick in my memory, and I do dwell quite a lot on them. I almost always read them, and this one that I mentioned has made me think a lot, mainly because I found it somewhat disturbing, and it keeps coming up and making me think more :-) Not because I feel vulnerable to that, but because others clearly do. I also remember an ad exchange (TAE) that was made, it seems specifically to raise funds for victims of domestic abuse. I did spend money there because of the cause. There were a lot of ads going out from the admin to advertise this site, with a really sad poem that really got to me. Its been closed since. I think in my case, the very fact that they are so different to the usual marketing ads, is what makes them stand out more than they do anywhere else.
  20. I'm curious as to what the MC community thinks. Should Traffic Exchanges and Safelists be used for campaigns aimed at "Raising awareness" or gathering supporters and taking donations for causes? For example, there's been a site rotating in some TEs, and has now found its way to Viral Mailers. Electronic Torture in France (something along those lines). But there are many different topics that can fall into this category.
  21. Some people are also really badly suited to owning membership sites, in that they lack the social skills necessary to communicate well with users. Some are probably nice enough people, but just come across as arrogant, unsympathetic or unfriendly.
  22. And this also puts me off. But I guess it might appeal to others Blast your email...... And I feel as if I'm going to get blasted in return by all the other blasting members lol
  23. Words like cheap, affordable, cost-effective, I think will have a different response depending on both the product (or service) type, and the audience.
  24. Yes, well this is it. To call someone's business a scam, is a very serious accusation. Some members don't read Terms, and fail to meet requirements for payout. And don't know how to look for support ticket replies. Or they're using an email address that bounces mails, and they don't get the replies at all. Or terms change and members don't keep up-to-date with admin notifications.
