Buying Traffic

This is always a hot topic in this industry. Buying traffic... Should I or Shouldn't I? Here is my take... If you have the money to lose, then definitely go ahead and buy traffic. It is a gamble if you get the targeted, ready to buy from you, traffic. But one this is for sure... buying traffic is the fastest way to get traffic. Free organic traffic takes longer, sometimes longer than you want to wait for. The answer is always up to you! What do you want to do?

I have used services like Safe Swaps and Udemi. Needless to say that is was a roller coaster ride all the way. I had some sellers completely mess up my solos and admit to it but never tried to make it right. I have also experienced seller who was truly concerned that I get the most for my money. Like one gentleman I used, he looked over my ad copy and thought it was relatively good. He also felt it had potential to do well with his list. But he was more concerned not that it do well but that it do great. So he made some adjustments to the copy and it did  do great. You don't find many sellers with this guys convictions. But lately for me, because of my bad experiences with solos I have been checking out network ads and solos inside the mailers I use. I am a member in one mailer who guarantees a certain amount of clicks. Now usually I am weary about clicks because they are so easily counterfeited. But because of the reputation of the admin, because I am in several of her programs, I felt good about using her. Needless to say that the first solo she did for me got the 500 clicks as promised and 6 sign-ups with 3 paying upgrades to my programs.

so I tested another one and it brought almost the same results. I believe 18 sign-ups and 4 upgrades in 2 days is great. So I will continue to use these guys and other who really try to admin their sites well.

And because I am a site owner as well, I feel that if they give me this kind of service I should spend my money with them instead of people I don't know.

And again I have to admit it is right, building relationships really is a key to more than just getting sign ups, it unites people who are true to the profession we are in.

I wasn't sure I should mention the names of the programs but if someone tells me it is okay, I will share where I get these great results. Stay Blessed everyone.

A lot of people grow their list by doing ad swaps and many have great success at it. I was not so lucky. When I saw my list triple in size literally within a few days by doing a series of swaps I felt like I was cracking into the big league. However when my response didn't grow at all I realized that all I had accomplished was to pollute a great  list with a bunch of worthless filler.

If you have the budget and the patience, then buying traffic is the way to go.

You do have to remember that as a marketer you do have to test and track. This means that more times than not you will lose money when buying traffic until you get to the point where your campaigns are profitable and your funnel converts well. Ideally you want to make sure that your funnel converts well enough before you buy traffic so that you break even at least and get opt-ins.

In order to competitively function in any market or industry, you must meet or exceed the resources used by the top competitors. A combination of paid traffic, SEO and social media is the way to go but ALWAYS capture the lead. The whole point for any type of marketing is LEAD GENERATION. If you are not capturing leads then you are not actually generating leads....you are passing on leads. With paid traffic you must always have a set amount or budget that you are willing to risk in order to find out if an ad campaign produces results. Most people that are new to paid traffic don't understand that. Everybody knows about the, "it takes money to make money" notion. Well, by default that means you will have to spend money. However, most affiliate marketers don't have much money to spend on paid marketing so, they don't make much money. They are afraid to take risks. There is no way to eliminate risk. That is a part nature. As the saying goes, "no risk, no reward". Because most people are taught, "the best things in life are free"...they naturally expect something for nothing. Subscribing to conflicting notions....this why most people are blind to any true opportunities that could right in front of them. After all, most people know no more than they are taught. I you are being taught wrong, you can expect your results to be the same. I happen to own a ppc traffic network. Like most of you, I was once at a dilemma about paid traffic but only until I saw that paid traffic is where the money is. It can cost less than SEO and require less effort than social media. They key to paid traffic actually helping you is to first make sure that the traffic is real. If the traffic is bullshit, the results will be bullshit. Another thing is this.....if you promote CPA offers, know that every CPA vendor shaves leads. You will not get credited or paid for all of the leads you deliver. That's a fact. You will never get paid for every lead and if you are using paid traffic to promote CPA offers you can indeed lose your ass. The bottom line is that in order to get results you need skills....just like with everything else. There is no such thing as easy money. It takes work, intelligence & skill. Do not expect to make it in this game without sacrifice.

My answer to choosing to buy traffic or not is this... Sooner or later you have to attempt to scale your business, and this is best done by buying (and testing) a variety of paid traffic sources.  Look, the way I see it is if someone turns a profit, you keep it.  If you take a loss, you try to find out why and then dump that particular traffic source temporarily or for good in some cases.

Nothing worth gaining in this world, and in Internet Marketing is without risk.  You know what they say, nothing ventured nothing gained.  :)

Buying traffic can indeed be a daunting task when first getting into it.  My suggestion would be to begin testing with a diversified portfolio.  Start testing with solo ads/mailers, maybe some traffic exchanges, there are a few ad co-ops out there you can try...basically stuff like that.  Also, I like to go with my gut and sometime try things out of the blue that don't seem to make sense. For example, I have spent money on sites that have a good reputation with flashy graphics, only to be terribly disappointed.  Other sites I have tried with the most old school graphics have proven to be the most profitable.

I would "Only' buy traffic from programs that members can join for free with the options of upgrading and/or buying advertising.

This way you can try using the free advertising first and if it pays off for you, you can upgrade for more benefits and advertising.
